Does anyone have some guide on how to remove the Amazon crap that comes bundled with Ubuntu? Are there some terminal commands to remove Amazon? Any way to block connections to Amazon? Thanks!
Here's some info on it. I think it's possible to disable all of it in settings, and after you do, there is no longer any data leaks or ads etc.. http://www.howtogeek.com/126995/how-to-disable-the-amazon-search-ads-in-ubuntus-unity-dash/
Fantastic choice Debian is the distro that is more up-to-date with security patches. They patch things in less than one hour, generally. I'd say it's one of the most well managed and secure out-of-the-box distro there is.
Paranoia is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, which isn't my case
My bad I thought I saw in another thread you used Debian w/grsec at some point. I may have misread that.
