Comodo Firewall Web Filter

    Many users use Hosts files to block unwanted connections.

    CIS Web Filter can be used for Hosts files to block unwanted connections i.e one can add Hosts files like MVPS, hpHosts, etc... in Web Filter to block unwanted connections, etc... & it works fine.

    Just remember dont add a huge list as removing takes a very long time.
    I had added hpHosts & removing took more than 30 mins...tried 3 times with the same results...dont know if this is normal or some CIS bug/prob?

    MVPS, hpHosts, etc... are in Hosts format & easy to add & works fine.

    Easylist, EasyPrivacy, etc... are not in Hosts format...can these lists be added in Web Filter & how?

    Thanks, didn't know I could do this. I run CFW 5.12. I'll start adding addresses in here.

    CFW 5.12 has Web Filter?

    No, but under Firewall, Network Security Policies, Blocked Zones, I can block sites that way.
