    WSA Firewall n' SafeStart question:

    1) Does WSA Firewall track Internet and network connections and cranks up the heuristic detection level when it encounters suspicious activity for out and in-bound traffic.....
1a) Do WSA users need to tweak Windows Firewall... an opinion is welcome...

    2) Comment/opinion re: Note: The SafeStart Sandbox is intended for testing malware, not legitimate programs.
Will browser run okay in SafeStart Sandbox. Will SafeStart Sandbox run Sandboxie'd.

    3) Does WSA have PUP criteria.

    4) Does WSA scan compressed folder/files.

    5) It's my understanding WSA does not employ traditional definitions/signatures. So, does WSA detect even known malware by behavior. Granted, known malware morphs faster than signatures can be written. So, are detections always/only by behavior.
    TIA

    1) Curious, why don't I find Webroot at aggregate second opinion sites eg: VirusTotal, VirScan, Jotti....

    2) How do I second opinion scan without a hash. Will VirusTotal report by behavior. If I upload to VirScan. Will VirScan report behavior based detection.

    3) How do I compare traditional detections with Webroot detections solely based upon behavior presumably on my machine.

    4) What does Webroot do with telemetry gathered from 30million users if behavior has to be based upon on my machine. Surely, behavior cannot be global. No two systems are alike. Unless telemetry is reputation only.

Norton had their Toolbar/IDSafe digital signature verified and nothing changed.

Got it! But occasionally what I am seeing is, there's only the W icon which redirects to My Webroot, and sometimes there's two, the other one is the password manager. Both are happening randomly.

Are you still finding the extension on Firefox....
When I go > And here is the Password Manager from the Firefox Add-ons site: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/webroot-password-manager/?src=api
    I see > Not Found.
Support told me today. Extensions still come by Webroot.
Toolbar worked okay for FF40 but, not for 40.0.2
As you know Webroot is actively pursuing a solution.

Well if you were told by Webroot your getting the same info as I, so I don't know what you expect as you said they are working on it!

I don't see anything in the upper left? Since it's Complete could it be the Webroot Password Manager? Also which browser?

    Thanks,

    Daniel

What is the purpose of the Webroot Filtering Extension, what protection do I lose if I disable it, and what it does exactly?

    Using last beta

It appears to provide ratings on the safety of search results links.

I think it is a little more than just search result check marks. I seem to remember a dev saying that you also provides HTTPS filtering/blocking and realtime anti-phishing.

i get a small dark green box that says the site is bad and has a close button which brings me back to my home page or an allow button. this was tested on firefox. there was NO extension installed in firefox at all. and was not the beta it was a clients computer. any thoughts? ill have to see if i can get it in here for a pic. basically like this but it was light and dark greens instead. when i clicked block it re opened her home page
