    Hello

I am running Kubuntu on my sisters computer and never could get Flash to stay working and if she reboots her computer, she has to take out the network cable for about 20 sec and then put back in to reconnect to the internet. I installed it right to hard drive.

I have not used Linux for very long and so I am wondering If she could boot this distro off her USB stick? She has no DVD or CD player on her machine.
If so do I use the media creation tool or what?

    Thank you

Update. As I'm trying to learn more on Linux, the only drawback is not being able to install Adobe Photoshop. I know there is Gimp, but it's not Photoshop. I've seen people talking about using a VM, but that requires a lot of RAM and GPU when using Photoshop. I'll probably just keep dual booting W7 and Mint, just for that reason.

There is WINE, which lets you run some Win programs in Linux, but I don't know if Photoshop runs in WINE, some programs don't.... You'd have to research it I guess.

Yes, create a bootable USB (you can have several distros on it) and change the boot order of the machine in the BIOS (presuming it's not a very old bios).

ojk I decided to use the same installer I used for kubuntu and all went well except still have the issue of not connecting to internet until I unplug network cable wait about 20 seconds and reconnect but she now has flash and was her biggest issue using Facebook.

    This program works great!!!!!

Oh shoot!! Sister is looking at videos on Facebook and flash crashes telling her to download adobe flash player.

Also I am finding the only browser that flash is still being updated for is Chrome or Chromium not Firefox, which Mint comes with.

I loaded my Mint image yesterday, and sure enough, Flash was updated along with Firefox and other stuff, so I don't really know where you get that idea fromo_O
