I searched the www and could only find one other thread and no one could answer it. I just want to use it as a pop3 client. On a W8.1 notebook I upgraded to 10 I was able to install Live Mail but on this upgrade from W7 SP1 it's giving me issues so I guess I'll use the app if I can get my contacts there. Thank you!

Thank you ronjor! It appeared that I'd have to use some sort of "People" app work around so I've successfully installed Thunderbird. At least at the moment it seems to be working fine.
I thought that although folks did not care for W8's functionality they did seem to think it was quicker/snappier than W7. I was expecting this from W10. Despite an SSD and a reasonably new Ivy Bridge 3570K CPU I built this PC with in 2011, W10 seems kind of sluggish to me. It may just be my imagination though since I still speed-battle in the 1400s. I've removed most of the apps since my needs are pretty simplistic. I've included the How-To Geek link on how to do that if it hasn't been posted!

    Thank You for the link.
How about getting rid of useless apps to make room for better ones.
