where are the installed programs passwords in the registry ?

    As by title: I want to format and reinstall 7, but I can't find the password of a my installed program and I don't want use Ophcrack or similar in my pc.

    What password? Your Windows 7 product key, or a serial for a specific program?

    The serial of a licensed software installed. I'm a backup maniac, but I believe to have saved the password of a previous version of this software, now invalid for this one.:cautious:

    It depends on a software that you are using. There is no universal location where licence information for all software is stored.

    OK, no problem: I need the password of my installed and licensed copy of True Image Acronis.

    You should keep your licenses and passwords on a excel sheet. And put it on a thumb drive. Makes it handy to get to.

    I do it and other... But I purchased more versions of TIA, and all everyone makes mistakes, do it ?

    @blacknight I suggest you take a look at Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder and Recover Keys.
    Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is free and finds the product keys for over 300 programs. Recover Keys finds the product keys for over 6,500 programs (including TrueImage). It's not free, but the trial version will scan your system and show you what software it found product keys for.

    Thank you a lot. Your advice allowed to me to understand which Acronis version is installed in my pc. :thumbd:
