    I found a few things.

    1. Look at the top startpage exclusion. I cant delete that rule. I can delete other rules just fine, but even after clicking to delete this rule, nothing happens.

    2. The below are DNS entries in my LAN adapter. One is from Xiala. The other is using localhost to DNSCrypt.

    3. The last one is also FP, its an add-on called "Disable Hello, Pocket & Reader".

    Hello again,

The FP has been taken care of. The extension has been white listed. The DNS issue you should wait until the next release.

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Ida

Sigh... I think roll eyes emoticon wasn't enough to imply sarcasm. (Either that or you are simply having fun with us not getting any answer)
P.S. I and many people here expressed that they prefer to know which engine(s) made the detection (directly on the gui, buried somewhere in the logs, etc BUT avaliable somewhere)
PPS. The above line doesn't contain any sarcasm.

    Hello,

I am not happy at all, my mistake I thought that you wanted us not to discuss any further about the engines we use and why they are not shown in the UI. (I thought you had enough of people constantly asking about the engines).
My apologies for misinterpreting your message, I really wasn't trying to offend you by any means. If our users are not happy, then neither are we!
We won't be able to tell you which engine in particular made the detection, because we have to protect our partner's interest, as I believe that was already mentioned in this thread. Once again my apologies.

    Best regards,

The proper answer ; "we can't since we have to protect partner interests (legal reasons ?)" wasn't mentioned before I made that post. Emre told, you guys choose to do so without explaining that part or I missed it somehow.

    You missed it.

So let me clarify it one more time.

We always have shown engines in our multi-engine technology, but eventually we decided to show only the most popular ones. We thought that this was the right way. But while some of our partners were advertised, others were not. Along with that issue there were a lot of misunderstandings when it came to listing the priorities and intentions. We decided not to show the engine lists based on the fact that Zemana AntiMalware is an anti-malware tool, not a tool that should be used for testing which AV engine is performing better than the other and so on. Besides, the rights granted from our AV partners, none AV engine in the world should be clarified as the best or worst, or having better or worse performance than the other. Taking this all into consideration we decided that we should treat all of our partners equally and protect their intellectual property in the equal manner of healthy concurrency.

But the most important reason for removing the engine interface is because we didn’t want to focus our users on the engines, but we rather want to focus users on Zemana AntiMalware, as a quality product which it is.

This interface of engines was shown in the beta version of Zemana AntiMalware with the intent of testing how users are going to react and what is going to attract users more: Our product or the engines? After a while, our research showed us, that the engine interface drew point of user’s interests from our AntiMalware Product towards AV products.

All this didn’t reflect our intention with Zemana AntiMalware from the beginning, however, unfortunately it mislead users towards it, missing the whole point of Zemana AntiMalware as a cloud-based multi-engine scanner. We want our product to be useful and loved by users, not to use only as a testing competition tool.

Our decision to remove the engine user-interface turned out to be the right move from two main points:

1- Protecting Partners intellectual properties and treat everybody equally according to legal frameworks of our partnerships.

2- Raising brand awareness of users towards Zemana AntiMalware as an antimalware tool, not a pack of AntiVirus tools.

    Regards,

    Ida

I remember point 2 ( brand awareness) but I don't remember point 1 being mentioned. I pushed the question several times (you can see it back in the thread) to get the complete answer you wrote now (Still, if I missed that part, sorry). Anyway let's leave this here since any listing related to the engines won't be coming back. And thank you for taking your time.

    Have a great day!

Weird. At first, I thought it might be due the other third party engines Zemana uses. But after checking on VirusTotal none of them detected it.

    Hello,

Maybe the file is corrupted, because we don't even scan signed files and the driver file is definitely signed. It wouldn't load otherwise.

Can you please send the file to us: support@zemana.com, dev@zemana.com

    Thanks,

    Best regards,

    Ida
