How do you like Heimdal? Seems like a combination of Bitdefender Trafficlight, MBAM, Sumo and Trusteer Rapport, have you found anything comparable that does everything Heimdal does? Almost tempted to give it a try but don't see a trial version.

And I get a kick when people say Kenora is Northern Ontario, its practically on the US border, now I'm in the North, about 700 km from US border. And yes, I know moose, tastes good.:D

Good Morning! ...Digmor! I like Heimdal Pro a lot! Simple but so far effective. It alerts you to Dodgy websites...and protects you while on line banking etc. The Pro Version was offered at 60% off...couldn't resist...that's off the Pro Version. Sorry...doesn't alert you to marauding Moose. Sincerely...Securon

  6. It looks like the installer version of Bitdefender Traffic Light, which was abandonned by BD (BD now offers only plug-ins) with some extra's like Ad-aware secure search and browser settings protection.

    Good questions though.

Well... CPU usage oscillates about 0.8-2.9% :( What do they calculate on my Core i5? Ram isn't fluctuating, it's on the snapshot. It doesn't seem low usage. Though as I wrote before it does feels light.
To test? Actually I don't know how to test AAWC with phishing sites. Capture.PNG

    Thanks for info!
Phishtank and CleanMX should provide good sources to test :)

Thanks for the sources. I tried 4 links from PhishTank, at the last one I got warning from Google: "Google Safe Browsing recently detected phishing on..." meanwhile Lavasoft said nothing. I don't want to test it further. I'll go without AdAware Web Companion.

    Thank you.

You said you got rid of the default windows apps, What was the exact package name to remove mail (Because I don't see it under my Powershell console)? Could it be categorized under/as?...

    "microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_17.6106.42001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe"

@Tyrizian If I remember correctly mail falls under "communi" so you are correct. You could also type the following into powershell to remove it.

    Code:
    Get-AppxPackage *communi* | Remove-AppxPackage

Thank you very much, this worked.

One more question, if you don't mind - Did you keep anything, like Calculator, Alarms & Clock, Contact Support, Windows Feedback, etc?

    @Tyrizian I kept Calculator and Alarms I may remove them later. Undecided if I should keep them. For some reason I could not find a way to remove Windows Feedback and contact support via this powershell method. Its dependent on other packages. Ill have to think about this a bit more. The other way I was thinking but have not tried yet is to;

Take Ownership of "C:\Windows\SystemApps" and delete the app profiles from there. Windows Feedback and contact support are both listed along with all other installed apps.

Edit: I kept windows Store just in case, and changed the settings so that auto updates are off. This should stop windows from pushing apps to your PC. I noticed this was the case with windows DVD player. It ended up on my PC somehow.

I want to find a Calculator replacement, because the built-in Windows version keeps running on it's own (and I hate that), So I might just end up removing via PowerShell.

As far as Feedback and Contact Support, I might just leave those, since they don't automatically run without my permission. Of course if I ever do decide to remove them, I'll remember your tip about taking ownership and deleting from there.

Thanks TS4H, you have been of great help
