I've tried to like this new 'style', I just can't. Default Style is much easier on my eyes, and I vote that that should be the 'Default' style. Members can change back to this 'Flat_Awesome' Style if they want.

    My $0.02.

    Thank you for considering.

Hmmm...not sure if I like "Flat_Awesome" yet, have to give it a little time, and try it out. Good to have something different to sample, thanks :) ThinkingSmilieA.gif

I tried it for few minutes, while it's better than the default skin, I still like the VB skin more.

Something that's different with Flat_Awesome is that Member details are visible (below avatar) without being logged in. Is that intentionally different like that?

That's not a factor of logged in or logged out. It's a style option difference.

Since the XenForo built-in style is no longer the default, I have just renamed it to prevent confusion. We'll now call the old default - XenForo Standard.

"XenForo Standard" never shows the member fields in the postbit:

    LoggedOff-XFStandard.png LoggedIn-XFStandard.png
    - These are logged off and logged in, respectively.

Both the "vB 3.x - Fluid" and "Flat_Awesome" styles always show those fields, whether logged in or off:

    LoggedOff-vB3fluid.png LoggedOff-FlatAwe.png
    - These are vB and FA, both logged off. Logged in are the same.

Not looking too good, but then the price of admission is still a good deal.

Ah, I see now, and thanks very much for explaining :thumb: I think I'm so used to seeing "XenForo Standard" as a lurker :ninja:
Therefore, prefer old default style imho :)

One big advantage, at least for me, Is that the font size is perfect for my not so good eye sight.

So far it looks better on my Iphone. Will take a little time to get accustomed to it from my laptop.

For people accustomed to the old style, it might look too alienating, but it will not matter for newcomers too much. It would make a nice default.

I'll use this "Flat_Awsome" for a while then most probably return to "Fluid" which is the best for me. This "Flat" is a bit tawdry for me.

I've hated the flat look in everything I've seen it in, this included. I wouldn't call it Flat_Awesome. I would call it Flat_Ugly.

I like it and looks to be an improvement over the prior default (cleaner, more readable, less cluttered-looking) yet still has the same character as the prior theme.

I was skeptical at first but I like the flat/Material Design/Win8/10 look after having used it on my phone and desktop for a while.

Hmm, doesn't really matter to me, but it appears a bit better for the most part.

I like the new style, but my layout was not changed as I changed from the default style to Fluid long ago. For now, I prefer Fluid over the new style.

Funny, and close to what I think, too. But not to the point of being upset, not by any means.
I'm just thankful that the forum is here for us!
However, it would make sense (and be nice?) if the forum looked the same whether I was logged in or not.
I don't get why or what point there is in making it look different when you're not logged in.

The reason that it looks different when logged in is that your choice of style is saved. It's not an issue for me as I never log out.

But why have it look one way when logged in, and another way when logged out? What is the point in that? If someone were to say, well, we picked an ugly skin when not logged in, in order to promote logging in, then I'd say mission accomplished.
