    Hi,
wondering if something changed on WSF because Opera 12 used to work just fine and now for example in this reply box a lot of the symbols are just square boxes. The symbol for the Alerts is just square etc etc.

The only change lately was the new style installed on Thursday. It's call Flat_Awesome. See this thread about that.

I've got Opera 12 here and don't have that problem. This is what I see in the various blocks:

Are you running with extra security settings or content blockers or filters? It's possible for page objects to be blocked by such things.

Can you try to switch to one of the other styles and see if it is just this new style?

The style changer is in the very lower left of the page:

thanks for this info LowWaterMark - i switched to ZenForo, which i liked the best anyway and everything seems to work again. i do have a script blocker but nothing shows in it for WSF. Also have Ghostery installed (shows zero) and hosts file. I do block some google stuff in the Opera 12 url filter so maybe thats it. cant think of anything else.

Same Opera as LWM uses. All icons are ok, but text color defaulted to white and I was not able to change it. All text inside the posts is white and text in the reply box is white.
I'm writing this through SeaMonkey because I prefer to see what I write. And in SM text color button does work.
    What am I doing wrong?

I can't imagine why the font would be the wrong color. It's set to black in the forum software and the style. Maybe it's some kind of internal browser options/settings.

    I can't either

writing in white- note None at the bottom. This is odd :(
I forgot to mention that FLUID is ok. It's just this neat, new feature that forces white on me.

It took me ages to find this thread :(

Using Opera 12.18, the SURPRISE job, issued today - no more white-on-white, so, LWM, I guess you were correct faulting the browser.

Thanks for for the heads up about a new Opera 12 build. I was using version 12.17 and in the settings I did have the update notification set to ON. Still I did not get any notification - I already assumed that version 12 was abandoned. Now I just updated to 12.18, everything looks fine.

BTW my version 12.17 worked fine with Wilders (using the VB 3.x fluid style).

    Cheers
