Good to know that it works on Windows 10.

I'm not crazy about QZ's subscription service, so I may be hopping over to SD when I move to Windows 10 (tomorrow). I really do prefer lifetime licenses, even if they're limited to that exact version.

Edit: Is the license for one OS, or one computer? Because I'll be dual booting XP 32 bit and 64 bit W10.

I've formatted my PC plenty of times, installed various Windows OS's, and SD didn't kick up a fuss when it came time to registering...

Just like to say, Ive been using Shadow Defender version 1.1.0.325 which came out in Feb 2010 on My Dell with windows vista that I bought in April 2008 with out any problems at all. When I fix A PC (Shadow Defender is what I recommend) & yes I know my support for Vista is slowly coming to a end! Lol

When exiting Shadow Mode, is it best to do a full shutdown, or does a simple 'reboot' work just as well?

    A simple reboot actually works.

How does Fast Startup play with SD
I always had it Off...curious with On and I use shutdown. What happens to hybrid cache.

    Hi bjm
I seem to remember that it is better with fast startup, which is also called hybrid boot turned off.
    See here

As yet, not mentioned on Tony's site
As it has not been officially released, I would recommend waiting, until we see something on his webpage. I've written to Tony to ask about it.

A member posted this today. Is it an official release and if it is what are the changes? What is the release date? It's not on your official download page.

    best wishes

Hi, What's best practice with security products real time updates.
Is there a way to Exclude / Commit Norton real time updates.
Feature modules and engines update every session.

I don't. Just reboot out and they will re update.

I do not exclude anything. Usually the AV programs are updated after the computer is turned on every day, when is not in Shadow Mode in my case. Besides, some of these programs work mainly in the cloud and the updates are small, if they are done in Shadow Mode they will be re-downloaded after a reboot.

Yeah, Norton has gone (their name) Total Cloud Protection. There's a small local set for offline scanning.
Yesterday..15 hours in shadow and there was nothing to pull in normal. So, thought I'd ask.
    Okay. I hear ya'. Thanks.

Registry value for AutoPlay was borked when exiting Shadow Mode. User would have to manually re-enter correct value in key to compensate for error.

Never have I seen another fantastic software like this Shadow Defender that can do what it does (AND SAFELY) for as long as it's been doing it, and without a single glitch for YEARS!! I've never had a single complaint and that is saying something :thumb:
