This still isn't clear to me either. I've heard from some posts on forums that you will "use up" your Win 7 license when you upgrade. However, according to MS blogs and such, you can restore/convert back to 7 if you don't like 10, this I presume could be done if you did an "upgrade" to 10 and your 7 files are still on disk. That's probably how you'd have to return to 7 to get your license back, then after that, you could probably do a clean install or whatever you need.

But I'm just speculating based on bits and pieces of what's been reported so I could be totally wrong too.. There is so much lack of clarity and so much confusion surrounding the whole 10 upgrade that I almost think it's by design... Lol..

During install, it can sit at certain points for quite some time, but 15 minutes sounds a bit off... Maybe try a completely new install from ISO from scratch? Could have just been one of the now-famous 10 glitches...

Yeah, I did updates on my Win 10 image, and it broke several things including audio. Also lost anything that could play an mp3 file. I think this is Win 9.95

As a tester or a follower of the new Windows 10 browser (Edge), How many of you will be using it as your default browser?

I will wait till fall when supposedly extensions will be available. I would like to get lastpass and ublock origin as extension for Edge. When those (or good alternatives) will be available I would consider using Edge as default browser. Till then I will be using Google Chrome.

It is obvious that Microsoft is meeting with the OEMs and big box stores to discuss and agree on the changes that the July 29th W10 upgrade will have on all involved. Considerations include the new MS mechanism for checking for genuine licenses, changes resulting from an original product key being applied to a different OS on a single PC, an OEM EULA amendment, the impact to OEMs concerning a rollback to the previous OS and the likelihood that recovery partitions will become unusable. These are the bigger issues, but there are no doubt others. All this has to be synced before July 29th. One journalist referred to it as "equivalent to the convening of the papal enclave minus the smoke (grey or white ... depending on the result)". Apparently no white smoke as yet, 20 days and counting.

Hopefully they all communicate the same message when an agreement has been reached. Imagine the confusion if they mess this up. As an OEM licensee I await with great anticipation.

Not me... I find it unusable so far. Full screen hd video on Netflix for example looks slow, sluggish and choppy, basically unfit for viewing. No adblock either. I'll stick with Firefox for now...

Those of us on Windows Phone have had to deal with Wi-Fi Sense for a while. Turned it off right after the update that added it.

I lost all audio on 162, but it was because of a creative driver update. I got the original driver from creative and reinstalled it. Windows update is a wreck
