Perhaps SurfRight decided 3.0.45.193 still wasn't good enough?
Perhaps 3.0.48.196 will be considered better, and will be designated as the current stable, and released into auto-update channel?
Or perhaps there will be a next and even better build that will be released as the new stable?
    I'm only guessing.

business as usual.... Auto Update not in line with what's published at Wilders.
SurfRight at 193. So, Auto Update won't be 196
    Edit: SM already replied.

Only Erik can say for sure, but FWIW many of the latest builds were made to address specific issues and if you don't have those issues I don't know that you lose anything by not updating; I ran build 187 on one of my computers until very recently because it worked perfectly. On a different system, also without issues, I updated to every new build just for testing purposes and they all worked fine too. What build are you currently using?

    187...
anyway the v193 brings several improvements related to security (eg, StackPivot/VBScript God Mode→188/Application Lockdown→189), hence the perplexity as to not drop it in favor of all...

    Muah...

Eset currently flags our hmpnet.sys driver. Until they fix the FP, we cannot go to General Availability.

196 can be seen as stable. We will publish this build as soon Eset solves the FP.

UAC also uses secure desktop for the UAC prompts, it's kind of an alternate desktop where it's harder to log screen/keystrokes etc. You'll see the UAC or KeePass prompt and everything else around is is darkened a lot.
Yeah, I noticed the KeePass problem already with older builds of Alert and reported it here, but still heard nothing.

    Questions out of technical curiosity:
    1. Did you manually add 'Kindle Previewer' to the protected programs in hmp.alert. If so which profile did you use?
    2. Are you using Java JRE version 6, because the hmp.alert Attack Intercepted mentioned 'Java(TM) Platform SE binary 6'.

and thats where the issue lies with the recent hitman pro alert update , it breakes secure desktop mode, if youve ever seen secure desktop mode in action youd know that , but let me explain , when secure desktop mode works , what happens is the master password dialog gets sent to a seperate secure desktop instance , dimming the entire background and only the master password dialog box being visible and accessible , this prevents interception attacks, i hope now you understand the current bug that needs fixing

Absolutely... when it's fixed. I'll setup secure desktop. I figured, I was good with encrypting master password. Who knew. You knew. Thanks :thumb:

I just activated a new key [thanks Erik!] and have now got 363 days of protection. A little surprised I didn't get 365 days though. Even Norton gives 366 days.

Are you seeing this issue only with KeePass or more generally? Secure desktop for UAC prompts generally works fine on my system along with HMPA, but I don't use KeePass.

Can you say more specifically how you would like to see keystroke encryption improved? How does Zemana AL do a better job at it?

Hitman Pro Alert always fails to install on my old XP computer with an Athlon XP processor.

Odd when SurfRight's HitmanPro.Alert description page states "Supports 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP"

Yep, same with an earlier build of HmP.Alert.

I'm running HmP.Alert 3.0.48.196 as well... never had a RAM nor a CPU issue. Win7-64BIT.
Are you sure (stupid question, I guess you are) the cause is not elsewhere, new app etc ...

    Memory keeps increasing. Max I/O 1,5 mb with Twitch.tv Flash-stream. I/O-interuptions (0 kb) while the stream is buffering? Happens often. (W7 64 bits/build 196/Firefox 39/Flash 18.0.0.194).
