After few weeks of using the BCUninstaller...nice and quite powerfull. Does anyone else use it? https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/bcuninstaller-interesting-and-free.376930/
First time I hear of it. Maybe will try. PS. There is Chemtable Soft Organizer giveaway at comms dot ru for anybody interested.
@ichito I just commented on your thread. But basically, the new version IObit Uninstaller is much better than this.
Can't you ask for a refund within X amount of days, and then you make a new purchase using that code ?
The link works for me. Also you can get it from Code: http://www.comss.ru/download/Soft+Organizer+Comss.html
Salutations, Between the these two uninstallers, which one do you think does the best job of uninstalling? > Soft Organizer 4.12 > Portable version of http://www.crystalidea.com/uninstall-tool Kind regards,
after testing in a VM, Soft Organizer by far. Uninstall tool missed many files to have to delete manually. I use Reg Organizer 7.12_Portable, it has the Soft Organizer uninstaller and is portable.
try new baidu cleaner that has a uninstaller that removes traces and junks leftovers after uninstalling. See if it is good. For me it was better then soft organizer in cleaning up.
@taleblou Unless recent updates have changed how it works, it only scans for leftover files when uninstalling an application, not registry keys. Soft Organizer should do a much more thorough cleanup as it monitors any changes an installer makes, so it knows exactly what files and registry keys an installer created.
@taleblou Happy to help. Having used the full version of Soft Organizer, which I got free via the giveaway, I can say that you need to manually verify the traced items when uninstalling software. The reason being that any file changes to the system which happen when you're installing software can get monitored, and not just file created by the installer you're monitoring. Soft Organizer does seems to be smart enough however, to only monitor registry changes made by the software you are installing.
Salutations, and kind regards, @donaddams, Thank you for the information and feedback! Also, the other posts are very interesting with their comments. Also, how is the Reg Organizer? Pro's and Con's? How often should one use? Does anybody have a discount? So, that I purchase a family pack?
@Moose World You can get Soft Organizer free as a giveaway. The link to the giveaway is listed on this page. I don't recommend using Reg Organizer as it has issues with false positives making it unsafe to use.
@roger_m, Thank you! But only one problem, Soft Organizer from the above post, does not include updates and support. If needed! Appreicate the head up on Reg Organizer, maybe Registry First Aid would be a choice! http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Registry-Tweak/Registry-First-Aid.shtml
@Moose World A better option would be not use a registry cleaner. If you insist on using on a registry cleaner Vit Regsitry Fix is quite safe to use if disable the deep scan, and the Pro paid version has a trial version that doesn't expire.
Salutations, Can not remember the using any registry cleaner. But the ideal was brought up in post 389. Just trying to get new insight from other individuals, believe's value's and opinions. Do you use Vit Regsitry Fix? And what do you like about Vit Regsitry Fix? +'s and -'s? After you answer my above questions, back to Uninstallers!
@Moose World I use Vit very occasionally these days, but I used to use it quite a lot. It is one of the safest registry cleaners as doesn't appear to have any issues with false positives. Once, it fixed an issue on an XP machine where the desktop would not appear when you started Windows, until you manually terminated and restarted explorer.exe from Task Manager. It started out as an occasional issue, but got to the point where the desktop would never appear on its own. The issue was fixed for good with Vit, whereas a couple of other registry cleaners I had ran previously didn't. This may sound quite impressive, but to put things into perspective, I've used Vit hundres of times, and this was the only time if actually fixed any problems. If you want to try Vit, go ahead - at least it is safe to use (if you disable the deep scan). Will it (or any other registry cleaner) fix any issues you have with your computer, it make it run faster? Almost certainly not. If there are any issues you have which you hope to fix with a registry cleaner, let me know and will hopefully be able to help you fix them.
@roger_m, Appreicate! Thank you for sharing the information with details. Now let get back to the topic of Uninstaller Software. Kind regards,
