Yes. Make sure that you're using one of the following formats with uMatrix:

uMatrix does not support ABP filter lists, use them with uBlock.

I have moved the Disconnect malware and malvertising lists, and Spam404, from uBlocko to uMatrix. The first two are in domain blocklist format and seem to be OK, but not sure about Spam404:

Is this the correct list and is the format usable by uMatrix ... it is picking up 4902 out of 4913 in my uMatrix dashboard ... or should I stay with the Spam404 in uBlocko?

 

Spam404 scamlist is an Adblock Plus list. (in case of doubt, see the first line of the file) It won't work with uMatrix, regardless of its status in dashboard.

What is meant by 'dynamic filtering'..? Sounds like 'actively changing filters'.
I've scoured uBlocko Dashboard looking for some checkbox for 'dymanic filtering'.

in order to use dynamic filtering, you have to check the box called "I am an advanced user"

Opera version still appears to be some revisions behind.
Any reasoning for this.

 

ublock origin 982.
It keeps disabling in Chrome v 43.0.2357.81 m.
I have to re-enable each and every restart.

 

ublock is definitely decent.

I stopped using request policy now and use ublock (still also use noscript).

ABP is effectively obselete now for me. Also check on github for latest stable 0.9.5 version, for some reason the mozilla extension page is lagging behind.

With this most recent upgrade, I was prompted on both of my machines to grant new/additional permissions to uBlock. The prompt indicated that uBlock had been disabled until or unless permission was granted. I granted. Maybe you missed the prompts.

 

It's been that way since Day 1 (2, 3, 4, 5; to infinity and beyond.) As far as the actual "reasoning" goes... whatever the case/definitely a bit of a drag.

I am now on ublock origin, seems the mainstream one will probably get more dumbed down over time, and this one will be more suited to advanced users.

e.g. I found out the per site switches got removed and this one added the new disconnect filters as well.

My only concern is the other version seems to be getting more firefox attention which is my browser but hopefully those firefox improvements get put in origin as well.

Also the above post about beacons, I only discovered that firefox can disabled a couple of days ago and it makes the browser a lot faster and lower resource consumption.

So will install umatrix, and I guess that means no need for policeman (which also seems excellent) and noscript I can set to only protect against clickjacking and xss exploits, or is that not even needed now with these 2 extensions?

with uMatrix blocking iframes by default and your browser blocking 3rd party cookies (or uMatrix doing this if you like), there should be no need for NoScript. At the very least you're protected against the dangerous persistent-type xss vulnerabilities. A good test site here:

The 2 anti-adblock lists in ublock aren't working for this site my daughter loves, does anyone know any other good lists or extensions that will fix this?
