Daniel, I have a question unrelated to the browser issue...

Should Win7's Firewall be enabled/disabled when running WRSA? - i.e., what (if any) benefit is realized by enabling Win7's FW?

Always Enabled Windows Firewall or another Third Party Firewall as WSA's firewall is only Outbound see here: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/WSA_PC_Help.htm#C4_Firewall/CH4a_ManagingFirewall.htm
also see here why WSA's Firewall doesn't show all settings on Win 8 or the new Win 10 Preview: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Id...tions-fw-control-in-Win-8-Win-8-1/idi-p/60003

    Cheers,

    Daniel :)

They asked for a log file (which I sent) and my support ticket is still open?

Did they get you to use WSAlogs.exe? If so that will tell them whats happening.

    Thanks,

    Daniel

That just tells me they are looking into it and could be studying to find a fix for your particular system and the support agent could be off for the weekend or he/she escalated to higher support. I have never had your type of issue so can't say what the issue could be as it could be a number of things right? Not every system is the same and at times they are not able to replicate which makes it tougher and they might need to do a remote session with you?

    Thanks,

    Daniel

@anon I just did a clean reinstall of WSA as I suggested above and see that IE11 asks to allow the extensions or not! So your issue could be more complex but on Monday I can check on it for you?

Like I said it's just an example not everyone has your issue so it takes time to look into and even if they can replicate it? Also they might need to do a remote session to find the cause of your particular issue?

It's Active to Beta Testers with a XXXX-BETA-XXXX-XXXX keycode and have not heard anything more about it's progress.

In default settings, Webroot AV is completely automatic or gives popups asking allow/block?

The default setting the user will get an alert pop-up (shown below). The Tray icon will also change colour indicating a change in state.

With .88 was very much a case of:

"Alas, poor .88! I knew it, Dermot; a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy; he hath borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is!"...to loosely quote the Great Bard...if I may...;)

Ah, thanks Baldrick, it seems that .88 was something of this
At least, apparently, a skull was found. :D
