34 patches... tomorrow... most of them with no details... they're going on a test machine before they hit anything production.

Will do, especially if there are problems. I likely won't roll them out to the production machines for a week.

Thanks. Yeah, as I see here on Wilders you're not alone to wait a while :) Usually I install all updates on Wednesday (due to time difference) what proved to be enough to withdraw (by Microsoft) the most botched patches. Nevertheless any feedback is naturally welcome ;-)

Thanks for notification. Will test them up tomorrow and see how it goes. I will surely take system image beforehand.

Note that the majority of them are for Windows 8, so those of us still on 7 won't get nearly that many.

They're really neglecting everything to do with v7 and v8 in recent months. It seems that they are just focusing on v10 and Spartan...

Well, 7 is past the mainstream support phase as of a few months ago. They're supposed to only provide security patches now.

Makes me wonder why I am bothering with v7 at all. I know I won't go near v8... have been thinking of getting another system, so I might go back to a desktop when v10 is retail.

I haven't done any windows updates since Nov 10, 2013 and haven't had any issues.... I just follow the safe surfing rules (W7-SP1 Pro 64 bit.)

I've got 20 updates (only 17.5 MB all of them) on my Windows 8.1 x64. They installed quickly and I had no problems so far.
