Too bad it doesn't work on HTML5 autoplay (which is fortunately rare), that will require HTTP Switchboard black/greylisting "other".
I hope that Chrome will add Click to play option for HTML5 objects also but I doubt that this will happen.
For Firefox users who use NoScript, doing the following seems to block all Flash and HTML5 audio/video on websites that you haven't allowed scripts to run on, regardless of what other domains you have whitelisted: 1. NoScript Options -> Embeddings -> set checkmark for "Forbid Adobe Flash" and "Forbid <AUDIO> / <VIDEO>." 2. NoScript Options -> Advanced -> set checkmark for "Block scripting in whitelisted subdocuments of non-whitelisted pages." Test case for HTML video/audio: 1. The necessary domains for Youtube video playback need to be allowed in NoScript. 2. Disable Flash plugin in Firefox if you have it. 3. Test site: Test Youtube Autoplay. If checkmark for "Block scripting in whitelisted subdocuments of non-whitelisted pages" is cleared, I hear auto-played audio when visiting the test site. If checkmark for "Block scripting in whitelisted subdocuments of non-whitelisted pages" is set, I hear no auto-played audio. This method also worked on a different site that auto-plays a Flash video.
