A question the wife is asking:

Is Rollback RX technology actually developed by Horizon Data Systems? Or is HDS a small marketing company and storefront for another group of developers selling this sector-redirection tech?

    No, it is not.
The developer company is EAZ SOLUTION, INC. Here is the patent of the technology http://www.google.com/patents/US7516357 .
Around 2008-2009 EAZ Solution was split? and AyRecovery was transformed from their biggest OEM/Distributor in Asia to a competitor similar technology developer. (If I am not mistaken Zhang Jian is/was the Chief Developer of AyRecovery).
Horizon Data Systems is EAZ SOLUTION's biggest OEM/Distributor for North America but have a very close relationship.

    You are welcome.

By the way Baseline Shield/Drive Vaccine is their software that sells a lot in companies/libraries/etc. and in difference with EAZ Fix/Rollback RX it is a very stable app.

I think also Drive Cloner RX is a rebranding for Eaz Image and Keriver Image...

    Yes.

EAZ SOLUTIONS is our sister company, but RollBack Rx is entirely unique at this point. I'm sure at a certain point the products were similar, but now it's a fully unique product that's developed within the company.

With false statements a company cannot build trust with their customers.
RollBack RX is a rebranded version of EAZ-FIX.
DriveVaccine is a rebranded version of Baseline-Shield.
DriveCloner RX and Easy Image are rebranded versions of Keriver Image.
RollBack RX Server is a rebranded version of Keriver 1-click Restore Pro.

And wild accusations from forum users will make my day ;)

None of this is true. Eaz Solutions is our sister company, but our products were independently developed for our company. This has been public knowledge for years. Anybody saying otherwise is smoking something funny.

Nice to know. Could you tell us what is the link between these 3 products ? I happen to have a license for 2 of them and would like to know if there are differences.

    Same here ;)
Everything is true. This has been directly verified from the developers of those products.
Slightly customised apps and logo does not make them internally developed.
Indeed your desperate need to turn black in white is hilarious.:D

RollBack Rx is a comprehensive snapshot software, it's going to take a snapshot of your system, and allow you to roll back to them. It's moreso designed for IT Admins, but I see a lot of people using them around on home computers as well.

Drive Vaccine is instant restore technology, so it's going to restore your computer to the one baseline. So one state for your computer. More designed for public access computers, where when someone leaves the computer, it just reverts back. It's simple, and meant more for people who just want these things automated with less control and options.

Drive Cloner is imaging software, so it takes a backup image of your drive, and you can put this on an external hard drive, or network drive. So then you can restore your drive if anything ever compromises it.

Some people think RollBack Rx is backup software, it's not. It's going to capture your computer and save you from a majority of issues. Drive Cloner is a nice compliment if you'd like a image file of your drive for extra protection.

    Thanks for your interest/question

Couldn't tell you unfortunately, haven't tested those products. Froggie might be able to tell you. I can tell you that ours will soon support the ability to back up your snapshots from RollBack Rx into an image.

So far the wife is amused with going back and forth between different desktops with this. It's almost downright funny!

Oh with RollBack Rx? My girlfriend finds it amusing too, when I first got it I used it to have her think her work documents disappeared as a practical joke :p

BTW, I have a Drive Cloner RX 5.1 license bought in 2011, never activated, will it activate the latest build for Drive Cloner RX 5.1 and what kind of upgrade offer to v6 may we expect ?

    Thanks.

I'd have to look into your customer file, email me your information and I'll see what status your license is at. In regards to upgrading, Version 5 keys will work for Version 6. No upgrade required :)
