We do reset trials with every major release. The next is coming soon. If you don't want to wait for a normal trial reset, send me the PM and I can send you a trial license. We also give away free versions to volunteers in our forum (testers, translators, etc.) as well as to people who help us fix bugs in our products by providing logs, crash dumps, and so on.

That version still exists. If your trial runs out or has already been used, EAM will automatically switch into Free mode.

Glad to hear that. I am looking forward to your feedback about the upcoming changes in EAM 10 :).

EAM and EIS share the same code base. So both are being updated at the same time.

I am not a sales guy. So I won't comment on that. Feel free to contact our sales staff directly at sales@emsisoft.com.

I know the sales mail, I thought you can forward it to a representative and get answers for us or a rep may visit here (even better). I think I won't be mistaken to think that I will get a generic answer by directly mailing the sales address (Even though I'm going to try)

More likely is that they will offer you a discount, which is what we usually do if someone can't afford our product but really would like to buy it. They can also check what the price for your region should be to make sure there are no issues with the geolocation.

Sent them a mail, will share the results. Btw the problem is not being able to afford it, I am in a well paid job. Problem is why Emsi is double the price of its competitors.

I know it's probably way to early to ask so I understand if you decide to ignore this question.

    But regarding your post here:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/emsisoft-anti-malware.372265/page-2#post-2459303
"but if we find ourselves in a position where we have to decide whether to drop a feature or sacrifice compatibility to other AV products, we will most likely lean towards the later in future versions"

Will EAM 10 still be compatible with other AV products or are you guys considering removing compatibility?
I'm asking this cause I have seen few users like here: http://malwaretips.com/threads/can-...soft-anti-malware-together.44344/#post-368854
asking if "x" product can be use with EAM, and since you guys are already mentioning EAM 10, I thought it was important to ask that question.

Once again, I completely understand if it's too early to ask this question and you decide to ignore it. Thank you.

Comment: I have full paid license for EAM9 & full paid license for EIS9, & was in the middle of the trial period for OA, and emsi refused to sell me an OA premium license! I felt like emsi was not honoring their trial. To me, there's a difference of being in the middle of a trial, and not having downloaded it before emsi stopped supporting, selling OA. Not sure if there action was "legal" but it seems unethical (to me). But at the end of the day I found an option that works much better, and doubt I'll support emsi in future with $$.

    Ok here's what I got:

A offer to merge my OA license and EAM license to EIS (normally price of OA+EAM >EIS, didn't get any offer to refund remainder)
After saying I don't want to merge licenses 25% discount was offered which is still (26$*0.75=19.5) 50% more than the average price I found for competing vendors.

Giving credit where it is due, support almost instantly replied back to my queries.

I'm not talking about EIS. I have bought KIS at 12$, TIS at 9$, Webroot at 10$, and several others from ebay, reseller deals, official site deals, etc in past few months.

Ok but I'm talking about prices on official (vendor's) web pages and their offers/discounts, not ebay or resellers.
BTW, you said they offered EIS, right? Or I misunderstood?

    Ok summary for you.

I told Fabian Emsi's pricing is quite high compared to competing vendors (Including resellers, ebay and in some cases vendor sites, problem is I can't find cheap EIS in any alternative source too). He suggested me to contact sales support of Emsisoft. Sales support offered me a 25% discount after I told my problem.

So you are complaining about a lack of resellers with dumping prices. Because none of the vendors you mentioned sell their own products for anywhere near the prices you listed. Bargains from resellers for our products do exist, but they are a lot rarer simply because we do have a lot less of them. However, I didn't have to look too much to find bargains for our products as well. For example:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Emsisoft-An...118?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5b0e964d2e

Keep in mind though, that we do not offer refunds for licenses bought from resellers.
