There you have it. The new AV on the block.

Pretty sure Zillya! is better than unTrustedPort.

I might use their OEM and start my own AV.

Yes, it's been around for 6 years with the English language version being released 5 years ago. My understanding is that the detection has never been particularly good.

I was going to try this as I thought it was some times since I've used it. But according to my downloads folder it's only 5 months since I've used it, and a new version has not been released since then. I'm not sure why I didn't keep using it, I've got a terrible memory and I've used around 40 to 50 different antiviruses since then.

So, what would you call your AV Frank?...Perv Pro - protection against Internet pervs. ;)

Just make contact if you want to sell Zilly Antivirus in your country:
    http://www.startupnation.com/community/forums/topic/5304/looking-for-partners-in-the-it-s

Mhm, I wonder if Switz is the same as Zilly under the hood and they have just changed the clothes and name.
IMO, No. You should research a bit more about Zilly Antivirus like you've done with 360.

Edit: AV-C should edit the engines that they list for HitmanPro.

Yeah, I like that. I better Trademark that before you do. ;)

Uh oh, is Zillya! a questionable operation too? But on this one, I don't care. I felt that I should say something about Dirty 360 as it has such a following with many not understanding the background and issues involved.

Can I blame it on beer?

Instead of Zillya there is a "much better" option. Virus Eraser, which uses Zillya's scan engine, with its own interface.

I could not help buy be impressed when I read on the home page that it is "The most effective complex Antivirus Protection you can find today!" On the product page, they claim, not only is it "100% faster," but it also has "over 500 new features."

To be fair, despite the ridiculous claims, I am running it now, and my initial impressions are quite positive. It is exceptionally light. For example a quick look at CPU use when doing a context menu scan is showing CPU use ranging from 5% to 19%, which is truly impressive. When I did a quick scan, CPU use did go a it higher but I don't think went above about 25% CPU use which of course it also impressive. The scan times are very fast too, and the threat descriptions are more detailed than for other antiviruses.

Also, you can configure it to not automatically quarantine threats, which is a huge plus in my opinion.

Why don't they participate in AV-TEST/AV Comparatives then?

just installed it, it asked to reboot, I said no. Then when I did reboot 5 mins later, my computer would not get past the Windows 7 splash screen. Tried booting into safe mode, it booted fine, then tried to boot again, same thing. So I did the last known good configuration and was able to boot. Never touching this AV again

Turns out, Zillya! has a less-than-honest past.

Granted, this was awhile ago, but the connections are there.

When your company is rooted in a scam, you have to prove you are worthy of business, not just hope that people don't remember. Dirty Qihoo's scams are already not noticed by most... It's sadly a safe business assumption that people won't notice and will forget.

Until otherwise proven, I'll go with Mortal Raptor's verdict that "it's a pile of garbage."

So...Frank's Killa AV will have to find a different OEM partner.

Do yourself a favor.. You have the ram.. Get a free copy of VMWare, and run a VM on your box to test this crap. I used to format every few months, now I never - it's been 2-3 years - I run everything to test in VM's or on test machines.

I'd say Sandboxie or VirtualBox or AX64 Time Machine or maybe Shadow Defender are better alternatives.

It turns out that Virus Eraser does no have it's own user interface, it is the same interface as for the Ukrainian version of Zillya.
