    as always C_E = +1
Thanks C_E .... I just check'd thinking I had no online backups only to find 5...also, had no idea whitelist auto-populated from cloud....totally agree...cloud backup if user requires should be one way backup or restore. Just now grasping perhaps the intent of "synchronize"
I've had Synchronize box uncheck'd .....my cloud backups may have occurred during Restore Default transient setting.

I tried to run the GUI from the service and I could not get it to work right... yet. I will definitely keep this on the to do list, but really it doesn't matter what launches the GUI, because it will act the same no matter what. Thank for the suggestion though!

You're welcome, thank you! No, it obfuscation is not noticed at all by the user. It is all under the hood stuff that no one ever sees.

Yeah, I noticed that too... I have no idea what criteria it uses to calculate the start up impact, especially considering how light VS is. Maybe one day I will google that and see what criteria they use to determine the startup impact, I would be curious. Anyway, thank you!

I would if I could, that would be pretty cool, and would take all of 2 minutes to change. Maybe someday ;).

Hey Kaptainbug, in theory, VS should automatically allow all of the windows updates, since the appropriate protected folders are automatically allowed. But really, you just never know what they might have to do to get a certain update to work correctly. Also, the main reason VS is set to turn OFF after 10 minutes of idle, is to allow windows updates, backups, scheduled tasks, etc. to run uninterrupted when the computer is not in use. But for example, if you were doing a manual windows update, I would just turn VS off or just exit completely. As a matter of fact, whenever I work on my local clients computers (I am still a self employed computer guy during the day), one of the first things I do when I start working on their computer is shut VS down, basically whenever I am performing maintenance on it. Now, when I have to google something, the first thing I do is turn VS back on until I am done searching the web. I actually will not surf the web at a clients office if the computer does not have VS. Most of my clients run VS, but 20% or so still have not tried it ;). Anyway, long story short, whenever maintenance is performed, I just turn VS off, which is one reason we made it super easy to turn off. Although, "easy to turn off" is always one of the cons we receive during a review ;). Thank you!

Hey David, cool, I think you posted a couple days later that it is working now. So hopefully it is, but if it is not, please let me know. I could never reproduce your specific issue, so if you do continue to have problems, please give me the step by step instructions on how to reproduce the error. Thank you!

FYI, singularity and I have been emailing each other back and forth for a while. We think it is an issue with MB, but we will see soon.

Hey Ashanta, well, pretty much what CET said. A real simple way to explain it is that Smart Mode toggles VS with the web apps whereas Always ON stays on all of the time, unless the user turns it OFF. Please let me know if you have any other questions, thank you!

Hehehe, I like the progress bar too, and it is still there. But on startup, the obsfuscator is no longer slowing down VS, so the progress bar only appears for a brief second. I will find other places to show it ;). Thank you!

We have 2 different detection methods. One detects process creation and the other polls the system for running web apps. The process creation detection method only detects when the process is actually create, no whether it is running or not. Whereas the other method pretty much does the opposite. Thank you!

Hopefully this is fixed in the latest version, if not, please let me know. There seems to be a slight issue somewhere with the command lines, but I think we are getting close. Thank you!

Well, as soon as we implement the KMD, the XP version will work just like the Vista and above version of VS, so all of these issues will go away. VS actually works great on most XP machines, well, assuming they are not running 12 different security softwares ;). Thank you!

Well, the name, path and hash all have to match. So pretty much there is zero chance that will happen.

Yeah, bold shows that the web apps are active. I added that a while back because users would ask what is keeping VS ON in smart mode. Usually it is an add on or plug in for one of their web apps that cause the app not to close, so VS stays ON. Thank you!
