Moved on to what? I wouldn't buy any software associated with him, reason being is the way he screwed all the lifetime license holders. I firmly believe "What Goes Around, Comes Around".

Is this source reliable/close to Murray?

    3 Lifetime licenses here myself.

I am back to using Admuncher for it's heuristic detection of 'stuff', and it works perfectly with uBlock (default). However I still feel burned by the whole matter. Murray is more into management, and production now. Apparently not doing much with coding from the looks of it.

Adguard v6 is our best bet at this point, and with 9 lifetime licenses only $65 at Adguard using the currency conversion trick, why go with anything else? Even though I consider v5 Adguard not usable, I have a lot of hope for v6.

Let's just say the Russian Rubel isn't as strong as it used to be... I get 9 licenses för 10% of the usual price.

Installed it for the first time I really like it with IE11, Firefox and Chrome! Now will it stay around now that it's freeware?

    Thanks,

    TH :)

I am testing Ad Muncher for my first time right now to see how well it fits into my setup. For me, it seems to be just blocking scripts mostly. It's quite efficient and I like it so far.

It doesn't work with IE11 - you must have something else blocking ads in that browser.

    Well it says so here?

What makes Ad Muncher the ultimate ad blocker?
Blocks ads in all browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, Flock, Netscape, Maxthon and Avant Browser.

    It doesn't for me.
Are you sure it blocks? You can verify its log section. For me log section is recorded only for Firefox not IE. Sadly:(

It is misleading, Ad Muncher doesnt support Internet Explorer newer releases for years.

It will be fixed in 5.0

Dev recently posted that he doesn't know how to make AdMuncher work with IE11. We'll never see it I'm afraid. Too many empty promises at this point.

I already give it up, at this point Ublock or AdGuard are much better options.

Definitely. Ad Muncher is an abandoned project that doesn't have any future. No improvement nor development can be expected. It's wasting of time. Luckily there are others who develop their ad blockers tirelessly and also for other platforms than only Win. Jeff is the last of the Mohicans, who tries to convince us that Ad Muncher is the best and smartest ad blocker ever.

Internet Explorer is dead anyway. Spartan...

Admuncher is still really good, and Jeff has taken it upon himself to re-write the blocking algorithms from what I hear. He has released over 510 signature updates since it went live. I like Admuncher as an adjunct to uBlock because Admuncher doesn't break stuff, stops ads other things don't stop, and is VERY FAST! Also I like the heuristic like script/bug blocking in it, and the fact that it doesn't use copied databases like every extension. Admuncher is a great layer right now.

That may change when Adguard v6 comes out, but for now I prefer uBlock stacked with Admuncher.

Should this thread be killed or the date rolled over to 2015? I still vote no... :isay:

I believe that the Mods are referring to this as a General Discussion thread for Ad Muncher. Even though a poll isn't the most logical place for main discussion. But I know that Mods close any newer discussion threads for Ad Muncher and refer to this thread for discussion.

I do hope that they make v5 before the end of 2015. I can understand why so many users of lost hope, though.

Forget that. Admuncher is abandoned project. Murray left and Jeff is keeping it alive with advert list updates only. That's all. End of story.

Yep, I don't think I'll see Version 5 by my 70th Birthday. Like pegas stated, "Admuncher is abandoned project". Murray threw Jeff under the bus. :argh:

The Admuncher devs have lost my respect, I will never believe anything they say or promise any more.

Adguard and uBlock are the ones I trust.

Is it true that it doesn't work with IE11?

I don't think it even works with IE10. Not 100% sure about that though. It doesn't work on HTTPS sites which eliminates Facebook and Youtube and whatever else.
