This month's Black Tuesday was packed with patches, and the situation's become more complex overnight. Many problems with KB 3002657 are now surfacing -- difficulties that aren't confined to the issues with EMC Isilon clusters I reported yesterday. There's also Security Advisory 3033929, with an associated SHA-2 signing patch that affects all Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 customers, as well as a report that KB 3033395 isn't installing on Server 2003 R2 with Exchange 2007....http://www.infoworld.com/article/28...b-3032359-cisco-anyconnect-fix-confirmed.html

x64 W7 SP1! So what if 3033929 has not created any issues, just leave it go? Thank you!

Thanks anon but I'm a bit confused. If I run Windows Update it turns out that my system is up to date and no update is offered for installation.

So it means that if I bought and the first run my PC in January, the update is already installed? If it wouldn't be installed, the update would be offered to install via WU, am I right? Though it is strange that the update isn't listed among installed updates.

Would you happen to know if Windows 7 is still receiving Service Pack updates? Windows 8 is up to 3, Windows 7 is still at 1...

Horrendous experience of configuring, preparing to configure, reverting changes, preparing to configure, preparing to retry, fails again, ... anyway, two bad patches. I should not have allowed 3033929 due to several posts here, but I had such good luck for a year, that I allowed. What do I do now? revert to Acronis image I made just before this mess?

It is unfortunate and unacceptable that some Windows users are experiencing so many problems with MS updates.
Thank goodness I always hang on for a couple of weeks before installing MS borks. I have now hidden 3033929 for good.

Best wishes to those guys suffering problems at the moment.
