When one clean installs Firefox, every time one right-clicks the search box (not the address bar) to paste a text one wants to research, it conveniently auto-selects-all everything in the search-box. It is such a simple feature yet extremely convenient, yet the baboons working the controls at Mozilla STILL haven't implemented such a feature into the address bar or any type of text box in Firefox. I either don't see such an option anywhere, or is it truly missing? Is there an about:config pref I could alter/add to force Firefox to auto-selects-all when I right click any type of text box (ie address bar, text box in about:config, allow/block text box in Password Manager, etc.)?

That would be convenient but I don't know of any way to do it. You can double click to select all, or what I do is use Toolbar Buttons. It has a button that clears search. I keep it next to the search box.

Sorry about the wait, had a load to deal with for a bit. Anyway, I figured out a very convenient fix for this without having to download another addon to slow down firefox even more. The trick I use is concealed inside my Proteus Core Logitech Gaming mouse. I simply assigned a double-click function to my multi-key button (more accurately, the "thumb" button). So in turn, this is actually even more convenient as now I can take that trick outside of firefox and be able to single-click + highlight-all in any search box/text box with a single twitch of my thumb.

And to the occasional passerby reading this, the mouse is a Proteus Core by Logitech. I've used roughly 4 other expensive brands, but this specific mouse is just outstanding both in gaming and in function for day to day use.
