I had to restart Opera, and when it reopened at the homepage, Wilders look had changed after there was some site maintenance. I opened another version of Opera, and it appears OK.

"recent threads" on the right is actually recent posts by the look of it as new posts in threads will show up there.

And the usernames in "members online now" is a mess, there is no "," after each username as it were before.

From your image with the funny graphics somehow overlaying places, I suspect that was a browser caching issus. A lot of the imbedded page objects are new versions, including some sprites and all the css/js. So, a browser full cache clear and restart should clear that.

Tarnak just to confirm that all is okay for me using Opera 12.17 on XP.

SweX no problem with showing '','' in members online now.

Well, it's really both. The reason they call that "recent threads" is because no matter how many replies in a row an active thread has, the thread itself is only listed once. The one on top could have been bumped by only 1 reply or 100 replies. The second one down could be the same, one or many new replies.

Their "recent posts" option would show every individual reply as a separate item. All 12 items listed could be from a single thread, if the latest 12 posts on the forum were from that one thread. I didn't like that because it seemed a waste to have a single thread dominate all 12 slots in the list.

Like Ron, I see the commas in the online display. Here's an image from both the default and vBskins:

What has changed from yesterday is the color of the member names. Today, the usergroup color is present. You see Ron in blue. Coldmoon is green. Just like their normal profiles. Yesterday everyone was the same middle of the range color.

With Opera 11.64 no problem in XP...But, with Opera 12.15, it is screwy.

Are your Opera settings the same for both versions?

I noticed the color differentiation was back, straightaway!

However, I don't like where the members show... it should be at the top. I have to scroll down to see it...Not practical!

I actually pay more attention to members online versus latest active threads myself, as well. But, when I checked other forums that listed both content and members, they tended to put threads up top since more people want that visible without having to scroll down. Each index page refresh shows clearly the most recent active thread. So, I decided content was probably better to highlight (list up top) versus members online. I may swap it back and forth a bit and see if content suffers if it's moved below the staff/members online block.

    Hi Mike,
I too may like "Recent Threads" more at the bottom at the right site. But of course I go with your decisions.
Big thanks as always for all you're doing!

I too prefer the members online at the top, but can go with the flow.

I've just separated the Staff online from Members, since together they pushed threads down too far, and moved Members above Threads. The top of the Threads list should be visible on most large screen devices this way, which might make a good compromise.

Ah now I understand, thanks for explaining. Yeah we can always use "recent activity" if we want to see new posts.

Yes, in Firefox the "," shows up as usual after each username, hmm not sure why my old "casual" browser didn't like the forum upgrade. But it's no biggie so I can live with that.

Yes I noticed that the colors where back, that's nice.

    Thank you Mike.

The new sidebar over wrote that. I put it back, but, decide to put it up top - just above the Members Online now. Having the time visible right as you refresh the page could be more useful then it way down the page.
