Hi Yuki, I don't have VC++ 2010 Redistributable installed. If you don't have another program that requires it, you can uninstall it. I believe all SBIE is doing now regarding VC++ 2010 is copying this two (dll mfc100u.dll msvcr100.dll) files to your system when they are not there already.

Wolf, I think all of us who beta test SBIE should feel good, we all are helping to make the program better by testing, using the program and reporting issues when we find them. I am proud to be a member of the SBIE beta testing club because of users like you:cool:.

To say I'm pleasantly surprised by 4.16 is an understatement! I've been experiencing stuttering delays on launching sandboxed Firefox – Palemoon and Icedragon browsers for some time. (delays before I can enter anything in the search bar – activating a bookmark – then more delays before anything actually happens)

Since installing 4.16 today in Windows 7 (I didn't really expect any changes) my sandboxed Firefox – Palemoon and Icedragon browsers began starting without any delays whatever! …....Bliss! :D

Still unable to run applications in a sandbox as administrator with Applocker enabled. Support doesn't seem to care one single bit. Not happy with Invincea at all. Their incompetence and/or laziness is starting to get on my nerves.

if you have a missing feature on applocker you should consider their support.

All right, then I'll uninstall it. It was originally introduced when I installed SBIE first on current setup but I believe only SBIE used it in my applications.

BTW, the problems mentioned in post #1311 went away after reboot, so I can now run Crowd Inspect. I think in general it's always a good idea to reboot after upgrading, because I've seen some weird behaviour from SBIE in the past. But anyway, I do get to see some errors while trying to run Vivaldi (64 bit) and ParkControl, can you guys perhaps check it out?

I tested Vivaldi (32 bits), it runs fine sandboxed. No error. I didn't test the other program, it seems to me that program shouldn't be run sandboxed.

I have updated from Sandboxie 4.14 to 4.16 on two Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit PC's. At the end of each Sandboxie upgrade, Windows showed the message that the program may not have installed properly. There were two options: 'Install with the recommended settings' or 'The program installed correctly'. I selected that the program installed correctly. I have never got this Windows message before with Sandboxie. Is this Windows message anything to be concerned about? Did I select the correct option? Sandboxie 4.16 seems to be working properly with no problems.

I had the same problem with the install on top. I myself have not made too many changes from default settings in my sandbox settings, so I choose to select "Install with the recommended settings" -option. There does not seem any changes that I notice done to my settings, or so I hope.

Most alarming prompt from SBIE 4.16 install I agree. :doubt: I installed from some 4.15.x beta, not the latest though.

I don't remember seeing that message before. I used Google to see what it is, I think you made the right choice (This program installed correctly), that's what I would choose if I saw that message after installing SBIE and go from there.

    Salutations,

Having problems deleting/closing Palemoon Browser for the 3 days! The only way that I get sandboxie
to delete the sandbox is to terminate all programs! 4.16

    All the very best wishes,

Hi Moose, there are a few things you can try. Next time your Palemoon sandbox doesn't delete automatically on closing, open up Sandboxie control and look at the process or processes that are still running. Then add this process to the Lingering programs list:

    Sandbox settings>Program stop>Lingering programs

If that dont work, make Palemoon the leader program for your Palemoon sandbox:

    Sandbox settings>Program stop>Leader program

    Sorry for my ignorance

It seems that there is (?) 3 ways to block a folder with Sandboxie :
    C:\Folder
    C:\Folder\
    C:\Folder\*

Could someone explain the difference between them if there is one ?

Perhaps this is the explanation you are looking for. Read under File access.:)
    File access>Read only access
    File access>Write only access
    File access>Blocked access
    http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?ResourceAccessSettings#file
