Yes, even the Obamacare site was doing it

Those are other key compartments ;) One for each set of symptoms/concerns, perhaps.

I wonder how a herpes search affects your credit score?
What venereal diseases make you less credit worthy?

Well, internet is not the best place to firstly go when you have a health/disease concern (it's also true to most other things) in the first place.
Go to the bookstore and buy a latest and biggest medical dictionary you can manage to understand, as well as other good books for your specific concern.
Info on internet are thread and thrum, but somehow many people go internet first. Primary reason would be its handiness and availability, or rather, ignorance.
Very treasure-trove for clever guys who are willing to leverage such tendency to make money, either legal or illegal.

Agree, internet is full of misinformation.

Google is looking to get more people to use them for medical searches (surprise.... surprise) http://www.wired.com/2015/02/google-health-search/

I've noticed a correlation between the health/disease symptoms I searched for and the type of spam I got and figured it all was also put in somebody else s file too.
