You can also use light virtualization like Shadow Defender or a VM like VirtualBox. And I can't check the registry easily because it's installed in the sandbox, so it's a virtual registry. I did get to see some config files in the APPDATA folder, but they can't be edited in a easy way. But anyway, it's nothing like Opera Presto, it's just another Chrome clone. I do think that if they add extensions and fix other annoying stuff, it will become better than Opera 26.

Actually, especially when it comes to browsers, you might still want to check it out, because we all have our own needs, perhaps you may like it, who knows.

I finally tried it. The interface is modeled on Opera Presto and that is nice for those of use who still use Presto. That being said, it is very much a work in progress and lacks much of what Presto has. I really don't care what the underlying engine is, what I would like is all the numerous tweaks and power browser features of Presto, not another dumbed down browser that takes control of the web experience away from the user. Add to that a sandbox and this browser could really rock.

they need to still some major work on this before it can be a daily driver imo. otherwise if they continue in the direction they are i think with will be a really nice browser. imo the bookmarks need a good amount of work int he bookmarks manager it just doesnt work very well and i really hope they give us a bookmark buttin at the top instead of having to either have the bar, or the side bar enabled. i personally want all the screen real estate i can get and i hate having any bars even a bookmarks one enabled.

I agree, but I can see the potential.

Can you perhaps explain how to make it work?

I agree, I'm not going to try any new versions, until they fix some major annoyances.

Does Vivaldi permit you to view the EXIF data of a posted photograph?

R-click on the photograph below, click "image properties" and see if the EXIF displays as shown below the photograph.

    thanks,

i followed this and see it said installed but it doesnt block anything. all pop ups and ads show up like normal (like im running without it). this is the case for both ublock and adblock though. i would still be using it if i could get them to work. i purposely went to a site that has loads of pop ups i use for testing the blocker and the site was allowed to open all new tabs and windows without stopping any of them. ublock works perfect on firefox and chrome though.

yes, installed the zip and used the latest one, did you install it in the appdata folder or did you install vivaldi in the programs folders (select all users or just this one)?

I installed Vivaldi for all users, and put µBlock under C:\Program Files (x86)\Vivaldi\Application folder, but we can install it whatever we want...

    That's too bad...

Opera has so many useful features that make other browers pale in comparison.

This latest build (1.0.111.2) running fine here in XP. Installed in Sandboxie for testing.

Smooth, fast, very promising (and spellchecker works)

I think it didn't work in older versions, but I have upgraded and to my surprise you can now install extensions directly from the Google Store. I have Ghostery already working, the only problem is that the icon doesn't show up. But seems like they won't develop their own extension-system. Interesting, I wonder why Maxthon never decided to do this.
