Can I disable registry protection ? How much protection is affected by it ?

A lot. Malware infecting registry is pretty damn hard to get rid of, especially when doing manual cleaning via live cd.
If you are an advanced user and really know what you are doing, then you can temp disable protection and do your thing with the registry.
But I still wouldn't recommend it, for like, any situation at all.

This maybe a dumb question but shouldn't the other shields catch malware before it messes with the registry ?
Also I asked that question because if the registry protection is enabled 360 asks for user interactions sometimes , recent example I can remember on my pc was when i was updating k lite codec pack from 10.9.5 to 10.9.8 , and usually the block option is selected .

SH- Shutting off the Registry Protection would be a very bad idea. An example would be a piece of malware that came to my attention the other day- this was zero day, so no definitions (from anyone) were yet in place. On running the file Qihoo immediately presented with multiple popups that the malicious file was trying to modify the registry to change the User Environment configuration, modify the User login, and autostart with Windows. So without these registry warnings the computer would be sadly infected; with them malicious activity was suppressed.

If I was a malware writer, usual steps I'd take is to:
1: try to determine if running in sandbox/virtual, if yes, remain stealthy until real world
2: try to find & disable common av processes if possible [some people forget to turn self protection thing back on]
    3: attempt to read/write registry
    4: set autorun on startup
5: install dll file on system as driver/service because kernel
6: restrict internet traffic to only selected IP addresses for malware updating. Bye Bye av cloud

If registry gives you a headache for clean programs you are absolutely sure you trust and are clean, then:
1: report to Qihoo about it, including program version, link, OS environment etc...
2: temp disable qihoo and reenable it back after updating insertyourprogramnamehere

Thanks to @cruelsister for looking out for me while I am a bit away.

Since it is still in BETA as it is, perhaps it is not ready. OR rather, not supported for Windows XP at all.

Okay the last ... well two weeks or so I have noticed a problem with 360 TS BETA. In those two weeks I noticed that on four occasions 360 TS BETA stopped scanning files. On those four times I got this message from 360 TS BETA ... ( The screenshot also shows which BETA version I use. )

    http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w172/Illius_photos/Diversen/360%20TS%20Problem_zps0wijsxsa.jpg

At those four times it did not matter if I tried to scan a downloaded file, or do a quick/Full scan with or with out all 5 engines, I always got the same message from above after a few seconds? So I did a full scan with 360 TS BETA and this was the result ...

    http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w172/Illius_photos/Diversen/360%20TS%20Scan%20result_zpstasfjqur.jpg

It only found and uploaded the two files with today's date, and those two files where found to be safe. I also made a threat scan with MBAM Free with these results. ( I translated the log file with Google translate since the original log is in Dutch. So please do not blame me for any grammar anomalies. :) )

After that I even did a scan with Herd Protect, but it showed no problems either? The problem with 360 TS BETA not scanning anything at those four times was solved by restarting my computer, but I do not like that this happens, because there where no warnings about the problem from the program. I discovered it those times because I wanted to scan a downloaded file?

So I am for 99% certain my computer is safe, but I thought I should mention this here because it could be a dangerous Bug. Has any one else notice this problem as well?

Hmm I believe that, but that only deepens the mystery so to speak. My computer was not running in safe mode on those four occasions, so as it seems it can happen under different circumstances?
