I am currently running KeyScrambler, but in the past have run Zmana Pro; I have also run both together with unknown results. Any thoughts on which to run, or is it best to run both together?
Zemana Pro has more features, so it depends on your needs. To give an example, KeyScrambler will not protect against banking trojans.
Also, anti-logger software usually protect you not only from keyboard logging, but also screen logging, webcam logging, etc. KeyScrambler would protect you from keyboard logging, and clipboard logging at most.
Zemana is more preventative with HIPS like behaviour. Keyscrambler will scramble the key strokes so if any malware is logging your key strokes it will be garbage. Unless Zemana does scrambling i think they both do things differently.
Zemana Antilogger Pro now incorporates keystroke encryption into it so Antilogger Free or Keyscrambler are no longer required: "Zemana AntiLogger 1.9.3.602 Tuesday, December 30, 2014 2:41 PM Starting from today the keystroke encryption is enabled on all supported operation systems. Now AntiLogger Pro automatically uninstall the free version. SSL Intrusion Prevention module dramatically improved. This version introduces new version of KeyCrypt SDK (1.8.1.199) which brings major improvements. Italian language file updated (Thanks to Emiliano) Other minor improvements and fixes"
Download it from http://zemana.com/Download.aspx You should be able to install it over the top, I've always done that in the past without any problems. I am not running Zemana at the moment as I have HMP.Alert installed which also encrypts the keystrokes but should I drop HMP.Alert for any reason I'll almost certainly go back to Zemana Antilogger Pro as I always found it absolutely trouble free on my machine which is more than can be said for some of the security software out there.
You can download Zemana test files to determine whether it's working http://www.zemana.com/LeakTest/keylogger-test.aspx
Zemana is currently running a promotion for its 'Pro' (paid) version on their Facebook page. The software normally provides a 15day period to test the pro version - the Facebook promo adds 90 days to that.
Not interested in the privacy minefield that is facebook. I ought to try and sign up but i would need to research how to put the mimium amount of data and sharing into it.
