I still have not installed 8923. Don't want to mess up IE9.

Just installed January's updates here this morning, about 7 of them, on Win 7 x64. No problems, no issues, all is well...

I did not install MS14-80 last month because of problems with IE9. I have the Jan Updates but did not get the revised MS14-80 from what i can tell.

Yup, living dangerously here, too. Installed 7 updates on two 7x64 machines. So far so good.

I also installed all updates on Windows 8.1 x64 and have no problems so far.

Decembers updates not yet installed here, my trust in MS updates having been eroded to say the least.

Well, it's that time of the month again! As usual I'll wait 7-10 days before installing.

These are mine. Fingers crossed, touch wood and may the force be with us!

No problems on Win 7 and Win 8.1

Note that the net framework update is not pre-ticked. I didn't tick it and installed it after the other updates on its own.

It seems to prefer it that way anyway.

Thanks for the tip stapp, I know a lot of people do the same thing.

I also usually install optional updates separately.

Think I'll wait just a bit before installing and see how things evolve here on the "Bork Watch" beat.

No issues on my Win Pro 8.1 64 bit & Vista system. Waiting for nothing, imho.

I think the best approach to this problem is to just have a fresh image handy to recover from if something goes wrong.. Works for me.

I never have problems with Windows updates. Last time I had a problem was the first time that I tried to install SP 3 in my XP. Thats a long long time ago. The only thing out of the ordinary that I do is disable automatic updates and wait a week or two, sometimes even longer to update. Never ever have had a problem updating Windows in the 2 W7 computers that I have owned.

Yes, I agree. If anything goes wrong just a 5 minute restore and everything is fine again.
