I am new with the Flash Drives and i just attempted my first backup of my hard drive. Should the properties of both drives C: & G: be the same afterwards? Stumped, Twodogs says thanks for all assistance.
TD, wee need to know how you're backup up your C: drive to your UFD (USB Flash Drive) which I assume is G:. What application are you using for your backup and how are you using it (most have many different modes).?
Well, I'm not sure what you mean about "Properties" but this is a simple DATA (not system) backup tool that allows you to choose what you want backed up and when. It looks like the result will be a ZIP archive on your destination drive, an archive full of the files you asked to be backed up. These backup types can go anywhere as long as the archive full of files is small enough to fit on your FLASH drive... small rnough in 2-ways. The file must be smaller than the available space on the UFD, AND, so you don't run into file size problems later, the UFD should be formatted as a NTFS device (not FAT or FAT32).
@twodogs44: You might be using the wrong program if you're looking to back up your entire system. Take a look at one of these.
