https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/headphones.354031/ During the last year, I got a backup "Sony PIIQ MDR-PQ4 Qlasp Earphones" for $7. The sound quality was comparable, if not better than my RF-MAB2, but the left side died within half a year. Then I got some generic ones from FreeGeek with OK quality for only $1. Not tinny like those dollar store ones and includes a mic. Survived my failed attempt at making it retractable as well (jammed the cable in). Then my RF-MAB2's switch broke, making it inconvenient and buggy. Plus, I wanted a working mic, so off to a new pair! By chance I managed to snag a "Outdoor Tech OT1400 Bluetooth Headphones" for $50 during the holidays. Best sound I can remember. Hopefully, they will last longer than my old Bluetooth pair. It's wired over-the-head ones for me as a DJ. I'm using Takstar HD6000's right now which are pretty good headphones for the price I piad - less than $80, but when I can afford to I will get something betters at they have terrible isolation.
Roger the aussie DJ...who would have thought Wired - over-the-head for me too. I still have my Sennheiser HD 555, they are probably 7-8 years old by now but they sound as good as ever. And I will have them until they break...but its Sennheiser so it might take a while.
I got these, awesome. RocketFish should have never stopped making them. Recently bought a backup pair of ARCTIC P311 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones, Integrated Microphone, 20-Hr Playback. Lots of clones of the Artic, opted to $6 more for this pair cause it comes with a nice hard case. Haven't received the Artic's yet.
They have really good isolation for blocking out outside sounds which makes them ideal for use in noisy bars and nightclubs. Also, they sound better. The HD6000s have terrible isolation.
After years of using headphones I changed to speakers late last year. I still have a Sennheiser TV (can't remember number), one Audio Technica ATH400 and AKG DJ (can't remember number).
I have got Sennheiser RS170 for almost 5 years and I am max satisfied. A digital signal without compression, they are pretty light, battery lasts the whole day. Before I actually even hated the idea of having anything wireless, my previous were Sennheiser RS120, they kept loosing signal, constant hissing sound and etc.
Are you classifying IEM's as ear buds? My favorite are my Serial Number 2 Aurisonics ASG2.0's for IEM's. For over ear, over head style my Shure SRH750DJ's. I have an AntLion Modmic hooked up on my 750DJ's that I use when streaming to twitch and for competitive gaming that work phenomenally.
I do. I might be going to upgrade to the higher class in my next purchase, though it might not be anytime too soon since my current HD 202 is still working great even after I've dropped it to the floor for at least five times since I bought it. That reminds me to the earbuds included in Sony-Ericsson Walkman phones. They're actually pretty good too.
Klipsch Image S4A (II) Android wired headphones. It enables the controls of the phone as well such voice search and commands. Incredible sound for what they are. Well worth the price. Had them for nearly 3 years and still functions as new.
Nice. Yes I'm sure you will upgrade as a natural step, but remember for each number you go up e.g HD 202 -> HD xxx -> you will find it difficult to go back down. Similar to how a 3,5 inch phone user going up to 4 inch find it hard to go back down in size again. But at least in the case of headphones I think it's a good thing, as they do sound better. But one can upgrade in small steps and not go from cheap to very expensive, though it may take a while until they break if you take good care of them.
3,5 inch? Did you mean 3,5 mm jacks? If you did, I might be not going more than 3,5 mm jacks as all the ports of the devices in my possession are in that size.
Ooops sorry for being unclear, my fault. No, I meant the display/screen size on a smartphone. Going up in size is quite easy but going down...seems impossible from what I hear from most people. E.g if someone upgraded to a 4 inch from 3,5 inch, they start thinking anything smaller than 4" is too small to use. Something similar happens when you buy a bit more expensive Headphones and hear the difference....then it's not so easy going back to the cheaper ones. Do you understand my comparison better now?
This is very embarrassing. I completely missed the word "phone" in your post. I even quoted it! Yes, I perfectly got it now. I myself have experienced it with computer screens. It might not be impossible to go back, but it is indeed quite hard to adapt ourselves back to the previous level. ----------------------------------------------------------- Dammit GZ! Quit being clumsy already! You'll get yourself killed sooner or later! >=V
Stanton DJ Pro 2000`s overhead(of course).Been meaning to get a pair of Sennheisers for years but the Stantons keep making me forget........ah, bliss. That would make for an impressive looking piece of kit if you scaled everything up from a 3.5 inch jack. Regards Eck
