That's some pretty epic fail detection rates by some big names. Discouraging to see Sophos so low, I really like their mobile offering. But to see Zoner drop to the point of being useless is terrible, that used to be one of the top products. I like Kaspersky mobile (but detest their desktop offerings), so good to see them score high. It's what I've done with my unused Kaspersky licenses.

I wonder if, in the context of the Android OS, 2039 malware samples is large enough to be statistically significant? In other words are the scores for the products representative of their performance in wild?

I'd like to hope 2039 is a massive amount for a mobile OS. :/

Bit Defender free Android is nice.

Uninstalled Kaspersky, it was bugging out browsing with proxy errors. Typical Kaspersky bugginess. So far Bit Defender Free (Android) works great.

I had the same issues with Kaspersky until I reinstalled version 11.7.4.640 and made sure not to enable web/text filtering and it works fine with no more proxy errors.

I am long user of BitDefender Free mobile, it works great on my Nexus device.

The results seem to contradict to a large extent the results of AV-Test and AV-comparatives. That's odd in itself.

Could this be because the company is in Asia and most malware samples are Chinese, unlike those used by AV-Test and AV-comparatives?

I like Bit Defender Android (Free) so far.. Very light, and seems to catch stuff.
