    Merry Christmas Dan! @VoodooShield :)

PS. I like the UI of v2.22, clean and simple with great color scheme. :thumb:

Well, I've decided to bench SBoxie. I'm sending in a new rookie ~ TTF System sandbox. This way I employ VS full time. :thumb:

other than the issue of VS freezing up on initial lunch, when i click it to open, it works great other than that. It takes a moment to recover and never crashes, just freezes .

    update december 27.

I reinstalled a couple times and the specific issue i had is gone. Overall i would say its working fine now, though some stuttering from time to time. Works great on my 32bt Win8, lil less so on my Win 7 64bt.

    Belated happy Holidays to all

Still on VS 2.22 final public release no issues to report. Working like a charm.

Happy New Year and party like it's 1999.... But drink like it's 2015 (responsibly) HAHAHA

    Best regards,

That's a ditto from me...other than for that very strange (probably due to my system) that I have notified you about...so all in all things going great here.

On the pro version, can you add apps to be protected by VS? Say like Windows Media or Outlook? Or are these already protected?

It stops executables from running in user space and allows you to control what programs can/can't run and from which locations. Not anti-exploit type of protection as I am assuming from your question.

Had one of these. Restart sorted. VS Service connect.PNG Well, I'm back to running SBoxie in TTF. So, VS job is controlling processes in system sandbox.

IDK ~ I've tried every iteration I can think of...Firefox does not prompt bubble when not trained. With IE not trained > click IE Icon > always prompts VS bubble... but, FF seems to be tied up with plugin container. Scenario: FF not in snapshot > click FF Icon > FF opens > no VS bubble > X close FF > VS bubble prompt plugin container. VS testing not SBox'd. VS testing with Auto allow all from Programs File folder not checked.
As I can duplicate this FF anomaly because I can see FF event. Might there be other processes in the background not prompting VS bubble.
    W8.x 64bit VS 2.22
    Cheers

Hey Kard, cool, thank you, Merry Christmas to you guys too! We have a couple of new developers starting this week, so as soon as he is familiar with the code, one of us will contact you and we will finish up the CS/VS combo! Thank you!

Everything is protected in both the Free and Pro versions... the Web Apps simply tells VS to toggle ON and OFF in Smart Mode if that web app is selected. Just be careful not to enable the Parent Process feature if you use web apps that can be exploited that is not listed below.

Everything that is already listed in Web Apps
acrobatreader (and all of the variants)
    excel
foxitreader (and all of the variants)
java (and all of the variants)
    mplayer2
    powerpnt
    quicktimeplayer
    vlc
    winamp
    winword
    wmplayer

CET created a huge list of web apps that we will be adding soon, and we will be making some other refinements to the Parent Process feature as well. Thank you!

Yeah, he could have meant that too, thank you! Yeah, VS does not block exploits, but it does block the payloads that the exploits try to run.

Yeah, I had one the other day too, it was the first time. Rebooting fixed it, but we still need to figure out what is up. I am sure the new developers will fix this quickly. Thank you!

BTW, we are adding 3 new people to our team right after the New Years and we have some pretty cool plans for VS 3.0, which will hopefully be released in the first quarter of 2015. I imagine there will be some beta versions ready for download in a couple of months, so I will keep you guys posted! Happy New Years everyone!
