Yeah, thanks. Nevermind the above post. It was stuck in Gmail's Junk Folder, so I had to log into the web interface and reclass it. Then Outlook picked it up.

So I got it almost instantly too.

 

can you select what components to install? theres a bunch of junk features there i dont want. and thanks!

It's supposed to be upgraded to a year in February (supposedly).

I didn't know if I could trust the English download on the above page, so I waited for the email from BitDefender, which had a direct link to the download. I just changed the "de" to "en" in their download link to get the English installer. After that, all went well with the install, and serial/key etc. Seems pretty good, although I have to admit it has a lot of features that I'm really not much interested in.

Going to try it for a while anyway...

 

Installed it, seems very heavy. Spiking really bad also. It might settle down later on..

It seemed better after a reboot here. But yeah, it was slowing things down for a while, like when I installed programs it would scan or do something to check them for at least 10 seconds.. a little annoying. After reboot, everything seems better.

It doesn't seem "heavy" to me (meaning it doesn't slow down my system in any way), but I think there is a lot of extra "stuff" in it that I'll never use (bloat)....

I decided to try it, and so far I do not find it heavier than BD IS. I hope the free renewal really happens in Feb 15.
