eset version 8 has officially been released!!

I do live in the US. Just don't watch Newegg all the time for deals.

Oh well that's good, then you can buy from them just fine, unlike me. I think members posts deals in the newegg thread several times a week, so finding a nice deal should be pretty easy.

 

Is any one using HIPS smart mode. How is your experience with it.
I have enabled it this week, as of now no issues. No popups as my usage is strictly common and basic . Not much new installations..

 

Yes I do, works great this far. And same here, haven't done many installs after that I started using it.

ESET's prerelease servers still don't have all the latest modules, the text implies otherwise: "You can benefit from enabling pre-release updates by having access to the most recent detection methods and fixes."
Switching to prerelease servers upgrades the Cleaner module from 1104 to 1105 and the HIPS support module from 1158 to 1159 but it also downgrades the Web content filter module from 1036 (20140625) to 1033 (20140219).

ESET released pre-release modules today that fixes the compatibility issues with Windows 10 TP 9926:
Anti-Stealth support module: 1069 (20150202)
HIPS support module: 1160 (20150203)
ESET is now running on my Windows 10 TP 9926 install without any issues...
