I just downloaded it tonight. I'll install and try it out over the next couple of days. I'm looking forward to giving it a go around.

It's crap, and not even that fast.

 

Without the requisite addons/extensions, it's useless to me.

 

Takes ages to load any page for me , has done so from alpha builds

 

Does Maxthon still call home like it used to since a long time ago and even after the main developer denied it but the browser was caught doing so?

The main developer eventually capitulated to this fact.

 

Honestly Q, everyone knows Maxthon phones home, like virtually every other browser does. I don't think Jeff Chen has been particularly dishonest about this. The 'main developer' once denied a financial deal with Google had happened.

A lot of people have stated this. I'll take your word for it. Maxthon already produce an incredibly fast browser, I fail to see the rationale behind this new one. I doubt I'll even try it.
