    Works fine from here with default filter lists. What filter lists do you have selected? uBlock will block whatever it is told to block as per content of 3rd-party lists, meaning it is expected to filter no differently than when using same lists with ABP.

    How a browser extension can handle 32000 machines ??
    This kind of extension is for end users with the ability to disable filters. All adblockers-like will inevitably have a false positive at some point.
    You can't force these adblockers with no way to disable it for end users. You can use hosts-like filters or proxy for the server.

    That's kinda the aim of µBlock. And it does it well.

    Still works fine, the top-left widget is right there. A pic showing what is wrong would be helpful.

    As you can see, there's no "widget" on the top left corner.. I also have this problem on askubuntu.com.. Haven't tried in more SE sites.

    EDIT: My ublock filters are the following:

    I don't have anything enabled in the "Regions, Language" section.

    One of my subscriptions is blocking Facebook/Twitter/Google login/share/like buttons. How do I whitelist those without removing the subscription?

    Must be Fanboy Social Block List, that's its whole purpose, remove these buttons, so solution is to un-select it.

    1) You can use µBlock tool to see what have been blocked and create a whitelist filter.
    2) You can use Firefox + ABP with the same filterset and use the ABP tool to whitelist the element listed in red. Then you can use this filter in µBlock. It may seem complicated, but it's the quickest way on the long run.
    3) You find the responsible filterset and you disable it, or you report the issue to the one in charge of filterset.

    Why would you want these boring buttons anyway ? :)

    Oh, never knew it was checked for me... Usually I only use Annoyances in Social.

    But how would one whitelist content blocked by a subscription? Is that even possible without disabling uBlock on the site altogether?

    Fanboy's Annoyance List includes the Fanboy's Social Blocking List.

    It's possible, with ublock, to see what items were blocked like with Adblock Plus?

    @J_L: Yes it is.
    @rdsu: µBlock > Options > Statistics > Enable logging
    @Antarctica: Really ? If you visit french pages, just enable french filterset, etc.

    It is in my plan to make this all easy in uBlock, so long as I do not compromise efficiency, otherwise I would betray people who adopted uBlock because of its efficiency. Longer term, pending some infrastructure work (especially key issue #236), I have some ideas to make the un-breaking of sites very easy, from within the popup.

    I don't understand. Whitelisting a whole subscription is equivalent to un-selecting the subscription. So why not just un-select it?

    Wow. I though it would be impossible because of Chrome restrictions. I'll follow the development of this, but I guess it will need a long time. Good luck with that !

    What did you think was impossible? What restrictions?

    For me, the "Blockable items" listing from Firefox ABP has always been the best UI to list/block/unblock elements.
    Here is why I though it was impossible to have something similar in Google Chrome:
    1) This extra "blockable item" window in Firefox seems not possible on Chrome. Since then, I've noticed some developers use popup from toolbar button. Nice find.
    2) I though usage of Chrome API like WebRequest cannot be used to list elements in this popup. Since then, HTTPSB/µMatrix taught me it is possible. Kudos again (dat extension !)
    3) I still think there will be something which prevents to list elements from webpage (noticeable slowdown, popup UI limitation for example). But you may surprise me in the future.
    4) I though only Wladimir Palant would manage to do this. I remember him back in 2006 when he released AB+ 0.6; everybody insulted him; despite this, he improved AB+ greatly. Now, he is a business man (nothing wrong though) and is not active as he were. Too bad you had some disagreements. You both have done a great job.

    Here is the long version. Sorry if you expected more technical reasons. :)

    I want to whitelist some content blocked by a subscription, not disable it altogether or remove the site from uBlock.

    @gorhill ,

    Can you also update the Opera extension with the latest version 0.7.0.10? :)

    Thanks

    You can right-click on any extension and select Manage, which takes you to the Extensions page.

    FWIW...2 mouse clicks vs 3 mouse clicks.

    1. Adblock Plus does not have this feature on Chromium-based browser
    2. From my side, coding this required much more work than an extra click on your side
    3. I am currently totally unconvinced a signficant number of users suffer from not being able to disable/enable completely their blocker all the time (i.e. seems to me like you are going through an atypical use case)
    4. Implementing this feature to fit in the currently minimalistic interface is not that obvious, unless one doesn't care about slapping thoughtlessly buttons all over the place
    5. In short, I may decide to implement this feature in the future when I am convinced it is worth the extra work
    6. Meanwhile I volunteer some of my free time to whatever coding work for issues I think will benefit the most users
    7. Ultimately, whoever can fork and add whatever missing features they wish
