    Indeed.
2.1 is a future release not even in beta right now.

Well, calling the title "false and misleading" is pretty harsh. It could be changed to more accurately reflect the subject matter, but I would leave that up to Mops21. The actual information about what Malwarebytes is proposing for the new UI is good to share here IMHO.

Considering the UI is the second most critical component in protection against malware (following closely behind heavylight Task Manager metrics), I fully support this accurately titled discussion.

Just look! They got rid of the >> on the Scan Now button, um, big rectangle. And BLUE! Imagine how much improved the scans will be. I just can't wait for 2.1!!

MOPS did us, the forum, and infosec all a great service. keep it up bro

One thing they removed is the pane at the bottom displaying ads. That's something that many people complained about.

The smiley is a bit too much for my liking.

Good Evening! Siketa! Due to the fact...of Avast's lacklustre A/V Comparitives results...they've changed the Smiley...to a Menacing Scowl! Lol! Sincerely...Securon

i waited a long time before upgrading from 1.75 to Version 2 - mainly because of some critical comments before. Recently I took the plunge and have not had any issues. I think the way the gui looked was the least of my concerns. Most of the time a program should be working efficiently in the background without getting in the way and a security program should provide security - whether a successful scan is shown with a smiley, a thumps Up, a word or otherwise, that hardly matters as long as the result is clear.

I received an email supposedly from MalwareBytes saying the forum was hacked on Nov 10th. Does anybody know anything about that?

The email you received was from Malwarebytes and is quite legitimate. All you need do is change your forum password the next time you want to login there. Your username there of course will stay the same.
