What is a good free encryption software for windows 8.1?

Apparently Truecrypt full-disk encryption doesn't work on Windows 8.1. Is there any free software that allows full-disk encryption on Windows 8.1? I tried Diskcryptor, and apparently it doesn't work on windows 8.1. What encryption software allows hard drive encryption on windows 8.1? Your help is greatly appreciated.

 

Try the native one, BitLocker.

The other one listed on Prismbreak for Windows is Diskcryptor, but you've tried that obviously.

 

I don't have Bitlocker installed on my computer.

 

Try VeraCrypt, a fork from TC which supposedly solves TC issues but is not compatible with it. Or R-Crypto, from www.r-tt.com, free for personal use.

 

Strange. I use Diskcryptor on all Win8.1x machines. Who said it doesn't work on 8.1?

Diskcryptor works well. Doesn't support hidden disk/partition but the problem is that there hasn't been any audit on it.
