I have an Amazon Fire TV and two HP Slate Extreme 7 tablets. I tried using the Second Screen option in the Fire TV to mirror the display on my tablets. On one of the tablets it works just fine. I go to the Second Screen option on the Fire TV and a message comes up saying Second Screen is up and running and waiting to connect with a device. I go to the Settings icon on my tablet, find the Miracast section and click on it. It finds the Fire TV and then a message pops up on the Fire TV telling me to enter the following PIN into my tablet to start the Second Screen session. I enter the PIN on the tablet and click Accept. After 10 or so seconds, I hear a sound and the display is mirrored. But when I tried it on the other tablet, it doesn't work. The operation times out and I get an "Authentication failed" message. What could be causing this? They are the EXACT same tablets with the EXACT same version of Android on them (4.4.2). PS, I'm not trying to connect both tablets to the Fire TV at the same time, even I'm not that stupid
That's what I was thinking too. So I even tried a factory reset, but still won't do it. The first tablet I used to connect to it works, the second one I try to connect to it won't. Is there anything else I can try?
