I currently have only Windows 7 x64 installed on my laptop. I have only one partition (plus the 100MB partition), and it is encrypted using DiskCryptor. I would like to install Windows XP alongside Win 7 (and create another partition in the process). As far as I know, I cannot do so right now without first decrypting the entire partition/drive, because the XP setup won't recognize the file system, correct? Thanks for help.
A small number of people (like me) still prefer XP. Some factors include: 1. Compatibility with old proprietorship software (example certain full disk encryption version). 2. Flexibility (example ability to full-spoof the wireless mac address).
Maybe you can run XP in a virtual machine, inside W7. So you do not have to decrypt/encrypt or messing with encryption anyway.
