This is Wilder's policy which sounds perfectly reasonable to me. They prohibit the use of multiple accounts to skew reality by confirming your own statements, but pretending like someone else did. They don't mention banned accounts at all. Besides, here at Wilders, they don't ban people because they feel like it or because they run out of logical arguments...

The one on Comodo forum is designed specifically for little kids with massive egos who can bash BAN buttons without any consequences or explanations.

    Good old RejZoR returns. :)

As for Comodo mods, IMHO some of them would better learn from Wilders mods how to be a mod. I ain't saying this about wasgij6 and most other mods whom I respect.

Although I've also had some issues with how the Comodo Board is conducted, disliking a product solely because of bad experiences in posting on the product forum seems a bit excessive. A parallel would be for a person to totally remove any malware protection because a post was removed at Wilders.

Ignoring bug reports -> bugs not getting fixed -> even worse program -> complaining -> getting banned -> even less than pretty much no support -> crappy product. It pretty much goes that way for everyone with Comodo unless you're in the moderators bunch with all those fanboys. Or you're fortunate enough to miss all the bugs or plain don't care. Take a pick.

I found discussing about Comodo forum rules a bit useless as wilders cannot do anything to change other forum rules. They run the forum, they do it their way. If you do not like it then do not post there or don't use their product. Otherwise you look as bad as them.... :)

    Why would anyone use this?
There are so many superior security suites far better than this.
COMODO has such a bad reputation for misleading and lying to their users. Not to mention promoting the use of their broken software knowing all along it would make some computers unbootable. I would never trust this company.

Some of the software is quite good - I use the v7 firewall- and it can be used without interacting with Comodo support. That's a better option then struggling with them in their forum IMHO.

Name them. Are they free? This program has always had a flaw, in terms of the amount of user input needed. Other than that, it is a great piece of software, for free. AV, Firewall, auto-sandbox, hips, virtual kiosk, cloud lookup, web filter, etc...

AV is slow and primitive, always was and apparently always will be. The HIPS is only for those who want to click stuff all day long and not do anything else and their Autosandbox system is sort of functional and broken at the same time. My bug that got me banned is one of them, ransomwares continuously bypassing it are another despite them supposedly fixing that and so on and so on. And since they never bother to actually cmpletelly fix anything, it's a complete suite that is also completelly broken with tiny cracks everywhere. That's their main issue.

When version 7 is run with the sandbox setting of Full V (which will be version 8's default level), I have never come across any ransomware/encryptor that would infect the system. At sandbox settings less than Full V there were indeed problems in the past but Comodo has finally (and intelligently) trashed these suboptimal levels.

The sandbox in this first beta of version 8 does have a specific issue, but it has nothing to do with ransomware.

We both know there is no shortage of comparisons. http://www.techradar.com/us/news/so...t-free-antivirus-9-reviewed-and-rated-1057786
    http://www.av-comparatives.org/detection-test/
I have read many and Comodo Internet Security is either not included or rated no better than middle of the road.
Personally I believe some things are worth paying for and a premium internet security suite is one of them. Most of them can be purchased for deep discounts with a little effort.
My biggest issue with Comodo is trust though. I cannot trust their products.

You originally said "security suite", not any AV stand alone program. There's a difference. I'd agree, if you only want AV, their are better options.

Did they change the way the sandbox handles downloads and other stuff like cookies or favorites added while a browser is sandboxed?

    Much like how sandboxie works.

Yes but this is something that should have always worked.
What's the purpose of having it in a suite if it's broken ;)

    Hi @ Comodo (Melih)

Forgive me for being a naysayer, but whilst Comodo is doing an excellent job extending the Internet Suite, why not correct some of the problems, that exist with the current version?

For example, the latest version of Chrome does not run in the sandbox or Kiosk, or for example the Comodo based Chromium secure browser does not show in the widget.

So effectively users have to jump through hoops to use the sandbox.

The latest version of Chrome did not run under Sandboxie. Now there is a fix very quicly provided by Invincea. When will Comodo get round to fixing the basics. Its like watching magma run down the side of a volcano

Oh by the way, I removed Comodo not because its a lousy product, but because Melih does it his way, glamour tantrums, speedy response. Never!

    Terry
