I tried live chat, but they are offline, so I sent a message and email address.

Good luck in getting an answer any time soon - i sent one 2 weeks ago and another about a week ago - no reply!

Either they are swamped with people who are having problems with version 2.x (get in line) or they are making $$$ off a buggy product and don't give a damn about their customers issues.

I'm still waiting for answers...oh, wait a minute...i was able to fix an issue i'd put to customer 'service' a week ago. Just trial and error...just like AX Time Machine!!!

    Hello,
I am trying to Start/Stop automatic schedule via a small program.
I did not find any registry key, ini file, nor parameter to do it.
Where can i find this parameter ??
    Thanks for any answer...

Jeanm, at this point in time I do not believe the AX Time Machine offers a COMMAND LINE interface. The testing group has asked for one (quite a while ago) but to date, none has appeared.

Many thanks for your answer "TheRollbackFrog", but i do not need a command line interface, i just need to know, where is stored the information (needed by Time Machine: TMApp.exe) to remember if the scheduler is ON or OFF (for example Registry key or "Ini" file....).
    Thanks for this information...

    You are correct.
I have heard nothing at all. :doubt:

I doubt if this app is ever going to be considered a serious backup option the way it is going, even though I have already bought a 4 x license.

I've emailed several times with issues and always got a response within a few days. I think that is the norm and unfortunately you all are unfortunately exceptions. I'm not making excuses, but I know they are a very small company and if one person is sick, etc... it can cause some issues.

Stay on them till you get a response. As we know, all electronic communications don't go through as intended.

Not that I don't respect the AX64 developer here... but I will agreed with what Hadron said here...
I will move on to a "serious" program rather than nagging them to solve my problem.
I don't think right now AX64 TM is prime-time ready product for backup solutions...

    Why hasn't AX64 v2 been updated since September 16th?

Short while ago, Waj posted that around October 15 a new build would be released which would fix a timer issue and other things. Where I am it's the end of day on the 16th but he did say "around the 15th". Seems like releases are monthly at this point.

I am not an update junkie, but when this program has so many issues reported by its customers, you would think they would at least respond with some sort of message like:

But nothing. Not even a response. :doubt:
I even gave them my email address.

It has been a week now.

At least Macrium Reflect is reliable.

    Hello everybody, hello TheRollbackFrog,
After a while of search, i went to Ax64 chat, and discussed with Peter....
He help me to discover the TMCmd.exe command line interface (part of AX64), with these possibility:
    =====================
    Use this for more information:
    TMCmd.exe /cmd=<command> /?

    List of possible commands:

register - register your software copy. Check TMCmd.exe /cmd=register /?
    An example: TMCmd.exe /cmd=register /user=John /key=9999-9999-9999-9999-9999-9999

install - install/update track and virtual disk drivers

uninstall - uninstall track and virtual disk drivers

volumes - list all volumes with additional info

info - show additional information, including current drive to backup and destination

backup - backup the volume, when used alone try to make incremental based on current settings. Check TMCmd.exe /cmd=backup /?
    An example: TMCmd.exe /cmd=backup /volume=C /destination=D:\AXTM /description="Backup description"

list - list backups from directory, if no path is provided a heuristic approach are used. Check TMCmd.exe /cmd=list /?
    An example: TMCmd.exe /cmd=list /path=X:\AXTM

restore - restore volume from image, you can use path or ID, see detailed help. Check TMCmd.exe /cmd=restore /?
    An example: TMCmd.exe /cmd=restore /file=X:\AXTM\file.axd

mount - mount virtual disk, you can do it by specifying path or ID, see detailed help.
    An example: TMCmd.exe /cmd=mount /path=X:\AXTM /group=0 /item=1

unmount - unmount virtual disk by disk signature or volume letter.
    An example: TMCmd.exe /cmd=unmount /volume=T

    ===================
In this list, i did not find any start/stop scheduler command, but...........
I am now able via an external scheduler (AT2000), to start a backup (full or incremental), at any date/time.
    @+

Hi Jeanm... from your reference of AT2000 use, are you still using XP or an older system?

    Hello,

I have a question and a possible feature (option) request.
Whether or not TM starts on boot is tied to whether automatic back-up is on or off. I would like to do only manual back-ups but at the same time would like TM to start automatically when my system boots (so it will always be in the tray and ready for use). The question is have I missed something or is this currently not possible?
If this is indeed not possible, could an option be added so that when automatic back-up is turned off, I could still have TM start when my system boots?
For me, it would be both more convenient to use and serve as a reminder to do manual back-ups. TM does not effect boot times and uses almost no resources so I personally think this would be a good option to add...
Just a thought and my two cents worth (also have posted this suggestion to the TM site)...

The community has been asking for more automatic backup options other that the only once a day.
Currently if you no not check the once a day backup, TM will not run.

    Hello Masterblaster,

Hmmm... Somehow I have missed the once a day back-up option (still not what I am wanting though) as all I have seen is the hourly back-up. Where can I find this setting?

In version 2 it's upper right corner. Once you select it, you indicate a time, and it will backup everyday at that time. As I remember. I don't use that function and I am at work.

    Hello Chamlin,

"Whereo_O" You beat me to it ;) ...
I still do not see it... I cannot find it still :thumbd: ... I only see "Automatic" set to "On", which gives you hourly back-ups and then "Off" which does not apply. I must be blind because I cannot find that "Daily" option (or the GUI is badly designed so it is very well hidden)...
