It's been a while that I've been excited by some new app, but I think this one is kinda cool.

It's so lite and simple. Let me know what you think about it. :)

It's pretty nice as a viewer only. I was expecting at least some basic editing functions but there are none. But it's a great little viewer. I like there's a portable version too. :)

Yes, that is what I like about it, it's very simple. Lately, XnView has been acting strange on my system, so I was looking for a replacement. But of course XnView is still superior if you need more features, like thumbnail browsing.

    JFYI, try FastStone Image Viewer.

    ------------------------------------------

These Bandi guys really made lots of types of programs. Honestly, their Bandicam product is not all that good, so I don't expect their image viewer (and their other products) to be good either. And they seem to be affiliated with GOM (Gretech), or... =/

What does that mean? I am using their Bandizip product and rather like it. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Bandicam was rather disappointing and if the news I heard from the street is true that they're also the one who made GOM products, in the past I tried GOM Player and GOM Encoder and they're also not quite the better choice in their respective classes. As far as I'm aware of there's no malware issues regarding them if that's what you're worrying about. It's just that their products are rather mediocre IMO.

I just installed this and really like it because it launches quickly and loads images extremely quickly. Because of this, I have made it my default image viewer - replacing Windows Photo Viewer, which is much slower. It does everything I want from an image viewer, as I don't have the need for editing functions or any advanced options in photo viewing software. I just want a program that launches quickly and loads pictures quickly, and this fits the bill perfectly. If I want to edit photos, I'd rather have a seperate program as the extra features make the program more bloated and load less quickly.

I also like that if you close it when it is in full screen mode, it will launch next time in full screen mode.

seems like a great basic picture viewer. i also installed bandicam which i am also liking very much. It has a bunch of different options for different video codecs and frame rates. Its pretty basic but thats all i need.

No thanks, XnView has always been the best for me. And GOM Player is quite a good player IMO.

Yes it's quite fast, and sometimes less is more. Not too many configuration options, but the most important ones are present. :)

Yes, and it has some interesting viewing options like "Fit to width" and "Smart Double Page". It can also soften and sharpen images. And you can sort images, by type or date modified for example.

BTW, I don't really like HoneyView, I never really made use of it, but I checked out the newest version and it doesn't work as expected. You just can't beat the legendary XnView.

What don't you like about it? I've been using HoneyView for years. But I only have the need for a very basic image viewer. I've just never liked the Photos app in Windows 10, or Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 7.

Which part of Paint do you not like for viewing images, or Photos app?

I want an app that opens in full screen rather than a window. HoneyView works just find for that.

My bad, seems like certain bugs have been fixed in the newest version, so it's indeed still a quite a good image viewer. I think the last time I checked I had trouble configuring the mouse and keyboard, I use it to zoom and to navigate. The slideshow is also kinda cool. I still prefer XnView but for other people this is a good alternative if you don't need the thumbnails viewer from XnView.
