I disabled my facebook account, I have no twitter account, no Google+, no nothing. hackers, catch me if you can, lol.
They can just steal your credit card data from any number of lazy stores you use, medical records, social security number, etc. No worries, right? On topic, there is a bit of contradiction in how much data was actually stolen. Some are saying up to 13Gb, Snapchat is saying 500Mb and the number just increases or decreases depending on who you ask. On 4chan there is not much going on except the usual spam and troll back and forth.

What is really sad is how big of a deal that was made of a release full of Instagram-type photos consisting of food, teen girls making dumb faces, architectural snapshots, etc. Having their photos stolen is unfortunate, and, unlike the celebrity scandal, it really was not the fault of users. But for anyone thinking of this as some kind of treasure trove of intimate moments, you are in for disappointment. Expect to see thousands of duplicate photos. Sure, there are a few nudes in there, there were bound to be. There was a lot of talk of underage photos being included, but I did not see any whatsoever. Perhaps they were excluded from the release, I do not know nor care.
By the way, the site has been "shut down for good intentions". Either the FBI got a hold of it or the site owners pulled out of their own free will.

They blame users, "can't afford security"..if this does not kill the company it honestly should. I wish things like this would prevent people from jumping into every "fad" service that pops up. Unfortunately it never does.
