    Hello,

I really the the "Last Seen" option on the members profile in the old vBulletin forum software as I find it extremely useful in determining when the last time a developer was online to ascertain if he/she has been monitoring a thread or not. If I know the developer has been online, I then know there is no need to contact him directly. As it stands now, I do not know whether I need to bother him via a PM or not (and when I know the developer is busy, I would prefer not to bother him). On the old vBulletin forum we had this option, which was extremely useful.

I do not know if it is possible on XenForo but if it is, it would be great to have this option back. Just my 2 cents worth but something that I really miss from the previous forum software...

I can't see it. Maybe only moderators can see it?

Perhaps. I've removed my post until LowWaterMark checks it.

The lack of the ability to see last activity ("last seen") was a privacy choice I made when converting to XenForo. While forum staff can see that value, other members can not.

The reason is that the ability to see last activity time can not be separated from last activity function. Meaning, if you can see the time someone was recently active, you can see what forum function they were performing, as well. Examples: "was last seen editing their profile" - "was last seen uploading an avatar" - "was last seen reading thread..."

I decided to go default privacy - member to member - instead of wide open on that field.

    Hello Mike,

Thanks for the reply and explanation (sorry for my late reply). I definitely both agree with and understand your decision based on the differences of the function between the old vBulletin software and the new XenForo software (not enough granularity in the control).

I realize that you did not have to post your reasoning but I definitely appreciate you doing so. Thanks again...
