Repair Disk?

    Recently my computer would boot to the point that the desktop and icons would show. However, when I attempted to open anything the system froze. I attempted a restore, but that did not solve the problem, and I had to use an image to get the system working.

    I do have a repair or boot disk, and wonder if that would have fixed the problem instead of having to go to an image and then update everything? W 7 64 Bit

    Possibly not, since Windows booted normally. Try to create images more frequently, keep personal data in a separate partition so that you don´t have to update them in case of a Windows restore.
